Perhaps that means you need to re-read the entire thread to understand its significance. (This sounds like a noble use of a few hours of your time, doesn't it?) It's an annual celebration of the anniversary of their meeting, although I'm not sure why that's more notable than the marriage, which, if I recall correctly, has its own thread. I thought it was titled "Verily, I hath married the Continental Admiral!" but I can't seem to find it.

Of all the pointless topics on the ToO, I'm not sure why this thread occasionally garners such cynicism, since it actually amounted to something worthwhile, but if my living happily ever after can annoy people once a year when I commemorate one of the most important days of my life, all the better!
