Re: 655 The Inspiration Station 1

I didn't mean to minimize Walker Edmiston's work, but yes, I think it should be fairly easy to find a replacement for Tom if that's the path they go down. I would prefer they use the opportunity to deal with death in a serious and real way, but I know the team is against that idea. All of the main a...

Re: 655 The Inspiration Station 1

Interesting topic. As always, I won't comment on this episode until I've heard the whole thing. But I will say I'm intrigued. I've got some theories about the Inspiration Station and what the lesson will eventually be, but I'll keep them to myself until next week. For me, it feels like an episode th...

Re: AIOWiki Episode Page Redesign

I prefer Reddo's version. Eugene's is more informative, but Reddo's is more accessible.

Personally, I would like to see a section dedicated to alternate versions of each episode (they exist for the vast majority of them) plus an area to include deleted material.

Thanks Jonathan. I check in semi-regularly, but I don't get around to posting nearly as often.

Trixie - No worries. Glad I can help.

Re: A Question About Tasha

It's actually not a slipup. In "A Question about Tasha", Jason decides to marry Tasha the very next day. Jack talks him into DELAYING the marriage. They do not end their engagement, they only decided to delay their wedding to give themselves more time to think and prepare. The in "The...

Re: The Pact

I just listened to "the pact", and in it Tom says that it was ten years ago from the episode that he took Agnes to Hillingdale. If that's true, and since she hadn't gone to Hillingdale yet in Thank you god, that means that at least ten years have past over the years of the show since the ...

Re: Favourite Character!

I kind of assume this is talking about major characters, not ones that showed up for a few episodes and went into the black hole. With that in mind... Jack Allen is definitely my favorite character. He always reminds me of what C.S. Lewis would be had he been Canadian instead of English. And had he ...

Re: Promises, Promises

This episode was one that was edited to remove Harley and any mention of him. I remember always being confused about the New Years connection until I heard the unedited version.

Hope that helps.

At Whit's End Board Game

http://www.aiowiki.com/wiki/At_Whit%27s_End This board game was released several years ago and has been out of print for quite some time. If you haven't had the chance to find a copy of it, here's your opportunity!!! I have a copy that I'm wanting to sell, and I'd love to be able to sell it to a mem...

We're losing everyone! So far coming back we have Eugene, Connie, and Wooton, oh, and don't forget Chris. Whit will be back, but once again we'll be getting a new actor, and other than that, if we don't get anyone else back, it'll be a completely new show with a few familiar voices. We can't guaran...

My personal opinion is that the whole Harley thing was completely blown out of proportion. The fact is that most of us don't have negative impressions of police officers due to the Andy Griffith show, which is both comical and unrealistic but not influential. Sure, Harley was a bit of a dunce, but h...

Good Business is another episode that was changed. About how much dialog was removed in Recollections? About two or three lines. I think you might mean "Gifts for Madge and Guy", which oddly contains a few lines on the broadcast version that have been cut from the album. Or do you mean Re...

According Nathan the latest plan is that Darien's Rise will have the episode numbers 646-654 Interesting... so definitely more of an AIO tie-in than Last Chance Detectives. I'm still confused and weirded by that... I don't understand why "The Day Ambrosia Stood Still" isn't considered AIO...

I agree with your point, I suppose. Connie was dealing with a bit of guilt as well as grief. I would just never recommend that therapy to others, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone to do it to me if my girlfriend or fiancee had just died. It's just... he kept suggesting stuff that Connie would nev...

I like Wooton, but not enough for him to be up there with the "greats." His helping Connie through Mitch's death did help me like him more, though. In the past, I've told people that I like the episodes that show his caring side, but not necessarily his goofiness. However, that doesn't re...

Top has an evil mind. :noway: As has long been established. ;) I'm just saying, I wouldn't let my kid over there without me. :noway: I couldn't agree more. Wooton has developed and become a tad more realistic, but I have to admit to still feeling outraged at Whit's behavior when listening to "...

"Rumor Has It" edited?

I've heard several sources that say that the original version of "Rumor Has It" was edited to remove Officer Harley. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone ever heard or does anyone have this version? If so, could you post the dialogue?

Thanks!

They've had dozens of episodes on divorce: the recent story arc with Mandy's parents, the various episodes with Connie, Whit's grandkids, Grady's absent father, and so on and so forth. My full opinion has been given and discussed elsewhere, but I do think AIO can safely deal with death again without...

If this is true, this is the saddest news to ever hit AIO. Alan was an incredibly talented actor, and he brought so much heart to the show.
