Kidney Infection...or something.

My side and lower back have been hurting off and on for about three weeks. It pretty much went away (I had very little pain), but now it hurts again, and somewhat worse. I know I haven't been drinking enough water recently, but it seems like I can't drink enough water consistently to heal/flush out whatever is wrong with me. I don't think it is quite a kidney infection...yet. But it could be close to one.

So, I ask that you all pray that this will heal up and flush out of my system soon. And that I won't have to go to the doctor. Oh, and if you have any suggestions on how to help the situation, I would like to hear them.

I'll be praying for you snubs , you might have kidney stones, I know my brother had them a couple of years ago and I think he just had to wait for them to pass through his system.......

Both sides really. But mostly my left.


It's a little better today. Right now it is just a dull pain in my lower back. And if I lean toward the right side my left side hurts (like it's sore). I also get these very slight headaches (comes and goes), but it might just be because I haven't been wearing my glasses as much as I should. Oh, and I have been having nausea (fades in and out). But again, that could be because off all the water I've been drinking and then eating food and taking vitamins (with all the water). I think I have a weak stomach. So, I'm not sure that the nausea is part of it, because of past experience, however, who knows.

Yeah bookworm, that's exactly what I was thinking. Mine ruptured when I was 7 and the symptoms sound somewhat similar, except for the back pain.

I'll be praying, snubs. If I may ask, is there a specific reason you don't want to go to the doctor? Because I would definitely want to get that checked out just to make sure it isn't serious. And if it is a kidney stone, that might have to be removed surgically.

Well, we can't exactly afford it. Of course, if I was in extreme pain or if it was consistent (which it hasn't bee), then yes, my parents would take me. But as of now, they don't really see that I need to.

Now I have very little "kidney pain" (though, that can change throughout the day) and it just feels like plain old back pain, like in my lower and upper back (on/near my spine)...which could be from my crummy chair.

Drink up and rest a bit extra if you can. And if it does get bad it might be worth going to the doctor although I know that can be expensive.
