I'll start it off, shall I? 
IC: Jason walked into the room with his father and Richard, having just gotten off the phone with Tasha. "Blackgaard's well into custody. Turns out he told them quite a bit--probably not everything, but enough to put Phillips behind bars forever. He always was vindictive."
He suddenly noticed Trent and Mandy over in the corner, Mandy looking fairly comfortable in the makeshift bed and Trent looking like someone hit him in the face with a tomato. "...Are we interrupting something?"

Phillips sat at a desk in a dim warehouse. He opened his laptop.
“It’s finally mine.”
He plugged the hard drive into his USB port and started it up.
Nothing happened.
He frowned and navigated to the contents. Empty.
He sat in stunned silence for a moment, then slammed the laptop lid closed.
“Blast you Whitaker!”

Mandy looked up to see a face that she vaguely recognized. "Err, no," she responded calmly. She glanced at Trent to see if this stranger had perturbed his thoughts.

Trent turned to look at Jason. "I, er...no?"
Jason smirked. "Right. Well, I was just filling in Dad and Richard on what's happened to Blackgaard."
"And Phillips?" Trent growled, anger welling up inside of him at the thought of the man.
"Not found yet. But when he is, the evidence and testimony Blackgaard provided, along with the two of you testifying, should be enough to look into it--and I'm sure we'll get enough to put him away for good when we get to him." Jason turned to Mandy. "Can you walk? Will you be okay?"

Trent took her hand, his skin tingling at her touch. He wrapped his other arm around her and slowly steered her over to where Jason, Whit, and Richard stood waiting.
"What is it, Jason?" he asked.
Jason explained. "We thought you two need to be here for this. The Applesauce program has caused enough trouble as it is. We need to destroy any remaining files of it for good and we thought the two of you would want to be a part."
Trent looked down at her. "Mandy? What do you think?"

"Destroy it?!"
She stared angrily at Jason. "After all of this fuss that almost got me killed, you want to destroy the stupid program?!"
She was slightly embarrassed at her outburst, but she couldn't help herself. Did they honestly think that she would be pleased?
Carefully, she unwound Trent's arm from her shoulder. "You couldn't have thought of a worse idea."
Without thinking, head, feet, ears...everything pounding, she raced to the door of Whit's End. Salty tears rushed from her eyes and stung her face. The small bell above the door twinkled merrily. She didn't care. She was furious.
She started to run towards McCalister Park, but her legs were weak.
...and before she could take another step, she collapsed.

Trent heaved a sigh. This better not become a habit. He walked outside, picked her up, and carried her back inside. He turned to Jason. "Personally, I'm game. She's right, it has caused a lot of trouble, which is why we should destroy it."
