What is Your Favorite Movie Soundtrack?
If there is already a thread like this please don't hate me I'm still kinda new!
Ok, so I may just be completely alone in this, but I really love the soundtracks for the Disney Nature movies. And also, my all-time favorite sound track would probably have to be "The Cider House Rules."

No. They didn't make a live-action movie about Avatar. And they certainly didn't make one involving racebending, believing in beliefs, Kat-tackling, and pebble dancing. And it certainly wasn't directed by M. Night Shamalamadingdong.

"Death's got an Invisibility Cloak?" "So he can sneak up on people. Sometimes he gets bored of running at them, flapping his arms and shrieking..."
"And now the spinning. Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile."
"It unscrews the other way."

I started listening to it, but it didn't seem that special. Maybe it's just me. Any specific tracks that are especially epic?

I’ll have to get back to you on what track it’s on.

Oh yes Rohan is spectacular. Let's just say it makes the Odyssey theme look like I wrote it.

The violin part that I love is on the track called The Riders of Rohan at 2:53 - 3:25 and there are some other renditions of it in the track called The King of the Golden Hall from 0:54 - 1:36 back on The Riders of Rohan at 2:23 - 2:52 and on the track called The Hornburg at 0:00 - 0:35

"Twilight and Shadow" off of the Return of the King album is fantastic.

Some other great clips from LOTR (singling out parts, not complete tracks) are:
The Isengard theme, heard in A Knife in the Dark 1:38 - 2:12
The Nazgul theme, heard in At the Sign of the Prancing Pony 1:43 - 2:17
The Argonath, heard in The Great River 1:53 - 2:38
And any of the variations of the Fellowship theme, such as:
The Council of Elrond 3:18 - 3:44
The Ring Goes South 1:14 - 1:43
The Bridge of Khazad Dum 0:00 - 0:18
The Uruk-Hai 0:28 - 0:54

Also, as TigerintheShadows said, there’s one single track that is really great.
Lux Aeterna
I haven’t heard anything else from the soundtrack, but that’s the famous track that gets around.
I really like the original version from the Requiem For A Dream soundtrack, and also the full orchestral remix. I have both on my laptop.

Gladiator. Probably one of the best soundtracks of all time. Maybe even better than LOTR.

I love Philip Glass. You have superb taste in music, Sherlock.Sherlock wrote:I could listen to "The Village" soundtrack indefinitely. It's enchantingly awesome. Also, "The Hours" (yay, Philip Glass).
"The Hours" was a terrible film, by the way, just a great soundtrack. DO NOT WATCH THE FILM. >_>
Amelie, by Yann Tiersen. In fact anything by Yann Tiersen. The same goes for John Williams of course.

John Williams is...well, his work is beyond what words can express. He's the most amazing composer ever.
