Sick today

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Sick today

Post by 31899 »

So, I'm sick today and I so I decided to watch the House of Commons today. It is rather comedic at times especially when one MP said something along the lines of
It's like talking about Moby Dick and not mentioning it's about a whale!
The confidence vote is coming up, so that should be exciting. \:D/

My body chose the best day to be sick.

Aww, I hope you're feeling better, 31899!

I'm guessing that it was our beloved Ignatieff that you're quoting? That fits with the quote I heard from him on the radio after the vote...though it could easily be somebody else. For those of you who are confused, Canadian politics and American politics are quite different. ;)

I'm Canadian but I don't understand the reasons why they're having this vote of non-confidence? What did our current government do wrong? I don't get how it's in contempt and why they're dissolving parliament temporarily...

Thanks Catspaw.

It was actually the guy beside Iggy. (I thought it was funny how other members of the house, and I think even the speaker once called him Iggy)

It always makes me laugh how all the members of the opposition look like they are underfed.

The conservative government was withholding documents from the other members of parliament and that is why they faced a confidence vote. If they did not come down upon contempt, it was suspected they would come down upon the budget.
