I took ballet for many years in intervals and it is absolutely my first favorite dance. It's definitely an art in itself and a workout at the same time. I would never categorize something so graceful as a sport although it does have sporty elements. I was tutored by a pretty strict professional teacher for about four days a week...that was super intense but ONE of the greatest experiences of my life.

I have also taken hip-hop and that was just awesome! I really enjoy that dance as well.

So those are the two I voted on. :)

I'm like that too. I took ballet for a while then took two years off to focus on other styles of dance but now that I'm back I'm loving it more than before. At my studio we have a really strict instructor that was from Tulsa Ballet. He does super hard and intense dances but trains us to be the best!
