It's a Christian movie directed by Michael Landon Jr., I would suggest you check it out.

I've watched it quite a few times! It's quite good! I also read the book, which was much better than the movie.
I don't know how old you are, but I'm 15 and easily scared. I'm with you on the "scary" parts.
It looks like it's a more popular movie than I thought it was.
I'm 14, and I wasn't really *scared* cause I knew everything would work out and it was only a movie, but I was definitely very tense.
I and my family have seen it as well! It is a very good, interesting and inspiring movie. I'm very suprised to see it rated PG-13, as it certainly isn't worthy of it (I believe that the version I watched was on DVD, and I only remember it being PG; perhaps I saw an edited version). Plus, the "Man of God" from the movie is the same actor as Elliot in E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. Just that I'd share that tidbit with you all.
Anyway, it is a very good movie and I liked it.

I didn't know it was rated PG-13. My mom probably wouldn't let the rest of my family watch it...my little sister burst into tears because Bolt was so scary.

Wow... Bolt was crazy? I suppose it was scary in some parts, but it was generally humorous and my younger sisters enjoyed it. Hmm... after checking some different sources (IMDb, Wikipedia, Plugged In), they all still say PG-13. I'm pretty sure it was only PG... but who cares. I'm not not worried so much over a secular rating; I care more about the contest and message. Excluding a little scariness, it had good content and a great message.

Well we never watch TV and only occasionally watch movies, so we're not used to it.
I'm now reading the book! You're right Laura, the book is better...but I think they did a very good job with the movie also, there wasn't much they could do to make it more accurate to the book without making it way too long.

I read the book like almost 3 years ago, and bought the movie the day it came out. I was really disappointed in the movie, but I love it because Stewart Finlay-McLennan played Brogan Kai. He also played Neil McNeil in "Christy" and one of Ian's lackeys in Nation Treasure (which is the only reason I ever watch that movie).
