I actually went to watch this in 3D yesterday. It was brilliant.
Raskolnikov wrote:Personally, I think Pixar trailers are different, creative, artistic, and basically brilliant. They always make you wonder, "what in the WORLD is this movie about?" Which is what trailers are supposed to do.
Most other trailers out there basically just show you the movie in 5 minutes, and I think that's lame.
Another thing Pixar trailers do is set expectations just at the right level by not being too over the top. The movie has plenty of room to meet and exceed expectations. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a trailer that outshines its movie.
Yeah, I agree with that. When we were waiting for the film to start and they were showing various trailers, they pretty much showed everything that happens in the movie, except for the end, which can be easily deduced.
The trailer of
Up and the actual film were completely different.

I was just expecting pretty much a film with an old guy and a kid going on a trip with some evil antagonist and a bunch of jokes. I was very pleasantly surprised with a great plot.
The soundtrack was brilliant too.
Edit: Did anyone else see the credits? Christopher Plummer voiced Muntz. Plummer played Captain von Trapp in
The Sound of Music.
