Some history for the newbies:
The first $10 Day was on Halloween of 2005 and wasn't originally planned to be an annual event, but then Shadowpaw decided to use it as an attempt to set a new user record and after its great success it was made a yearly tradition.

Ooh that's cool. I don't think I've ever posted on the ToO during Halloween. So this is most likely my first time. Thank you, bookworm, for the nice piece of history as well. What other holidays do y'all do this sort of thing with?

@Kaida: Well, this is kind of the opposite, but we usually turn money rewards off for Christmas (to encourage people to spend time with their family)
