This concludes the Weekly Football Pool for the 2015 season. (Winner announcements and payments will be caught up as soon as I am able.)
The Cumulative Pool will continue through the Super Bowl.
There is now a new competition available to enter: the Playoff Bracket. This is a completely separate thing that anyone who wants to participate can enter, even if they didn't play either Football Pool at all.
If you want to enter it's a simple one act process: send me $5 then fill out this bracket and post your predictions. That's all there is to it, it will require no further action.Scoring: Players will get a point for each correct advancement predicted, regardless of the matchup it was in. For example, if they predicted X to beat Y, but instead X beats Z, they still get the point because what matters is that X won.
If a tiebreaker is needed it will be determined by who predicted the most correct matchups. That is where Y and Z would come in.
Now, this is where things can get a little confusing. Because the Cumulative Pool is still on, the people in that need to continue posting their picks each week, even if they submit a bracket. Their bracket picks cannot count for their pool picks because they may incorrectly predict a matchup. Note however that it is now picks only; there are no more weekly fees paid or weekly winners.
So:
If you've just been doing the Weekly Pool, you are now done for the year.
If you're in the Cumulative Pool, continue posting your weekly picks as usual, but don't pay anyone anything.
If you are doing a Playoff Bracket, whether you played either pool or not, submit your fee now and post your bracket.
The Cumulative Pool will continue through the Super Bowl.

Saturday:
Kansas City @ Houston (I don't really think so, but I don't want identical picks so... maybe this will be an upset
)
Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati (I thought I was going to be the only person who thought this. >_>)
Sunday:
Seattle @ Minnesota (Former Bengals assistant coach FTW!
)
Green Bay @ Washington (I like to root against Green Bay, because I know annoying GB fans, but they can probably beat the Redskins, because racism loses.

Since the Bengals are out, I say we just let Manning win one more Super Bowl and retire on a high note.

So I just noticed I still have the money from the Adrenaline Rush pool sitting in my bank. Did we ever determine who won the season?
