There seems to have been a misunderstanding here. Some people apparently interpreted my post to mean this event was going to be some kind of big giveaway. I’m not entirely sure where this notion came from, but I think perhaps my assurance that this wasn’t a prank this year was misunderstood. What I was saying was that the giveaway from last year was being repeated, this time without any pretense. What people seem to have read was that this year it would be the big giveaway teased last year which turned out then to be a prank. In other words, saying this one was not a prank meaning it was going to be the original giveaway now, instead of meaning what it did, that it was a straightforward repeat of last year’s giveaway with no misdirection at work.
I never intended my post to be misleading, nor did I think it was. This giveaway is the same one that was held last year, except it is intentional this time. I never thought people would assume this was going to be the original prank claim of a major money giveaway. I even linked directly to last year’s thread to be completely transparent, thinking people would see what happened before and realize what was happening now. I didn’t expect any misunderstanding in what I was doing here and was caught off guard when there was.
So apparently this turned out being a prank after all if you thought you were getting big bucks, but it wasn’t through subterfuge on my part, I was completely upfront, it was your fault if you were fooled.
