Today the ToO celebrates its tenth anniversary! I never envisioned 10 years ago that the board would still be around today, and I'm honored you have all enjoyed the board as much as you have. Friends have been made, fun has been had, and even marriages have been arranged. It's been an eventful 10 years!
Unfortunately, it's no secret the board has been going through a spell of inactivity recently. As a result, the respective leaders of the Town of Odyssey and Soda Shop message boards have been conversing recently over the idea of merging, prompted by some of the discussion presented on the various boards. We've decided that the most viable option, to ensure the successful future of both boards, is to create a brand new board, a combination of our two boards, bringing together all the things that make both boards great.
Of course, such a project requires a lot of work. We've already started developing a rudimentary version of this board running here. However, (as you can tell) there's still a lot left to do. The new board will, unfortunately, not be opening today, as we would have hoped. Instead, we will be opening the new board on May 7th, the 3rd anniversary of the Soda Shop. Thus, both boards will remain open until that date. This gives time for all community members to learn of the change. However, no elections or official events will be run between now and then.
