It's not necesarily a bad thing, but this is my Candor side showing, I guess, because frankly, I'm sort of suspicious when people start lauding another person with compliments and sweet-talking them

It's like:
Guy: Babe, [don't even get me started on that; I never understand why people call their significant others babe] there's no one else in the world like you. You're the only one meant for me.
Girl: *melts*
. .yeaaah. All those little platitudes and cute remarks are often just spouted off with no meaning, and a guy often uses them for the sole purpose of getting the girl he likes, his sincerity notwithstanding.
I get that some people mean it, but when you see 12-year olds on Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter proclaiming their undying love underneath that bathroom selfie they just took to their SO of two weeks, I have as much faith in it as I do when Windows tells me it's going to find a solution for that buggy program.
