Star Trip -- the movie!

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Star Trip -- the movie!

Post by LizzieG »

Some of you may know that I started an Adventures in Odyssey Club at my college a couple years ago. We've done a few Odyssey video re-enactments since then, but our latest one is by far the most epic. Check out our rendition of Star Trip (and, if you haven't seen them already, check out the other videos on our club YouTube channel).

Incidentally, we're featured on the front page of the Odyssey Scoop today, so yay! :D

I just watched that a few hours ago!! That was great! I was quite impressed!

Eugene-"Well, the sequence of events occured with extreme rapidity, but I shall attempt to recall them. I was powering my two-wheeler along this concrete pathway, when your personnage suddenly appeared directly in front of me blocking my course. My reflexes immediately sprang to life in an attempt to navigate an evasive manouveur around you while still maintaining course and speed, but I evidently over-compensated, and my Schwinn careened off the hardened path, taking me with it, and up-ended us both in this shrub, a Rhododendron of the heath family I believe, deducing from the leathery evergreen leaves, as distinguished from the deciduous Azalea, which as we all know is..."
Isaac-"You mean, you crashed into this bush cause I got in your way."
Eugene-"Well, that of course is another way of expressing it." Isaac the Benevolent

I shall have to watch it sometime - preferably at a decent hour. ;)

But since I've already seen it, I can attest to it's awesomeness \:D/ Well done.

lol stop confusing me. :P

I cannot believe I watched that whole thing. ;) I was like, "Hey, it looks interesting... I'll watch a minute or two in case anyone questions me about it." But then I sat through the entire video! \:D/ A few of the lines and acting made me laugh (in a good way!). And ha, I never pictured the "ding-dongs" as such.

Good job to AlexMitchell, LizzieG and the whole gang!

See, okay, I saw this video before she posted it. But I was going to wait on watching it again. (actually I ended up watching it last night, so I could've edited my post.)
But anyway I wasn't trying to confuse you...again apparently \:D/

You did a few lines wrong, but it was very good. :)
Were those people supposed to be in the background at 8:20?

Ricky, those people weren't supposed to be there. I have to wonder what people thought when they saw us filming around campus.... The violin music at 7:50 wasn't supposed to be there either. Kind of a risk when filming in the music building. :)

Most of the time, we knew we had some messed-up lines, but we were often on a tight schedule and couldn't retake the scene, or we liked the rest of that take well enough to keep the goof. The tribble line was intentional. :)
