Well, I've never been into the series, almost as bad as anime, but this live action version I may just see. For the special effects of course. And it's done by Michael Bay!!!! Now I am sorta excited.

It looks interesting. :-k

Hopefully they won't ruin it like they did the series. :(

The preview in POTC 2 got a huge laugh in the theater. Everyone thought it was some serious movie and then . . . ya. Won't be seeing this.

It is a serious movie. Steven Speilberg is producing it. It stars Shia LeBeouff (the guy from Even Stevens, and I just know I misspelled his name) along with some other big-name actors.

Besides, it couldn't have gotten as big of a laugh as when I saw the trailer for Snakes on a Plane.

Well, if Shia's going to be in it . . . :inlove: *might go see it now* If he has a short hair cut that is.

But one could argue that that is, in fact, the entire point of Snakes on a Plane.

As for Transformers, I'm not excited at all. Never really understood the big deal behind Transformers, although they were cool. Also, it's directed by Michael Bay, who is notorious for making stuff that looks pretty, but doesn't have much of a story.

When I went to see POTC2 on the day it was released, everyone payed attention to the trailer and then when it said "TRANSFORMERS" the entire audience burst out into hysterical laughter.

I was one of them.

Where did you hear that?

And why did people think it was funny? I mean, I'm not like a religious Transformers fan or anything, but I don't really get the joke...

It's just the fact that it's so serious and then it's Transformers. LOL

LOL... you must not know any "serious" Transformers fans. I think they go to like Transformers church on Sundays to worship Primus. I remember reading about this guy in California who legally changed his name to Optimus Prime...

I watched the trailer again. I still don't see what's so funny. But, I geuss if you don't know they're making a movie it takes you by surprise. I've known about the movie for well over a year so...

Apparently this teaser also angered some of the hard-core fans. I'm not sure why though.

It's funny, to non-fans maybe, because it looks all serious and it's about some robots and were also action figures . . .
