The Nativity Story

Post by Ferder »

Ok, so the movie (coming december of this year) is definatly not an official prequal to Passion, but it kinda reminds me of it (I guess it's just the Biblical look)
Have a look at the teaser site and trailer.

Well it doesn't show much in the trailer. Was it done by Mel Gibson? I hope they stay real true to the facts.

It's about time they make a Christmas movie like this. I mean Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and I can't remember the last time Jesus was even mentioned in a Christmas movie.

The trailer is just a teaser. Once they've finished shooting the movie (and when it's closer to Christmas) they'll probably release a real trailer. No, Mell Gibson has nothing to do with this production (I just mentioned Passion in the title to get people's attention ;) ) All the info about who is involved in the production is on the website.

Of course, of course. I, above all people, know the difference from a teaser and a theatrical trailer, among other movie knowledge.

I kinda figured it wasn't done by Mel Gibson, cause otherwise they woulda said right away of course. As I said, I just hope they don't hollywoodize it.

Intriguing. I'll be keeping an eye on this film as it progress. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to other film adaptations of the Bible, such as The Passion or The Gospel of John. I'll be interested to see what approach Director Catherine Hardwicke takes in telling the story.

I haven't heard much about it, though.

I've heard about it..saw the trailer and the official website. I usually don't see movies on theaters, so I won't go see this one.

I've been looking forward to seeing it ever since I heard about it. :) It's great that Hollywood is making more Christian movies. We need that.

A friend of mine had to read the book and write a review on it for class, and she liked it. I'm really looking forward to the movie, especially after seeing the trailer for it a couple weeks ago. I'll probably see it in theaters.

I haven't seen any previews about it but the idea of it is good, obviously. I think Shad Lexer or somebody had a topic about it a long time ago, but it's burried by now.

I vaugely remember seeing a poster, but other than that I have no clue what it's about. What's different or better about this one? What makes it special?

I saw the preview in theaters and am now pretty excited. I must say if Hollywood can keep up these Christian themed movies I may be supporting them more often.

Which studio is making this film?

New Line Cinema... if that was your question.
