So, this morning I was sitting taking my history final (which covered from a little before the American/Mexican War to Post-Civil War Reconstruction) and then this question came up: "Who was the winning Democratic candidate in the 1852 Presidential Election?" My mind whirled as I tried frantically to remember the answer, and then it hit me...Oh, the Democrats wondered about what they'd have to do...until Pierce became President in 1852!...Robin Jacobs had this same question on her history test! I know the answer! As I triumphantly scribbled down the answer, my heart thanked AIO and that wonderful episode. (Does any one remember the name? I can't seem to think of it at the moment.)

So hopefully this will help me get an "A" in this class! Huzzah! :wink:

that's cool. AIO actually helped me on a GRE vocab question...sorta....which is of course highly confidential and i have sworn secrecy about that sacred test. it was just a loose association with a name of a character that i thought might be related to the definition of the vocab word...anyway, i think it worked. i got into grad school at least, right? :-
