Console shopping advice
Console shopping advice
My GameCube is starting to have trouble reading discs. I started looking for a decently priced replacement, but then had the thought that if I'm buying another console the smart thing to do would be to actually buy a Wii instead of another GameCube, if the cost is roughly the same, because that could play the GameCube games as well as its own so it would be like two consoles for one. Does anyone who is more of a gamer than I am have any reason to think that wouldn't be the way to go?

I'm not really an emulator person; games don't always work correctly if not played on hardware.

dolphin is the best emulators period. In some cases, it runs better then Gamecube/Wii. And has functioning online. And supports mods/romhacks...
