ToO Fantasy Football: Year 2

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Are you interested in playing fantasy football?

Yes, and I played last year, too! \:D/

I still have all my players from last season. Do I need to clear them out to get new ones?

No. That will happen automatically.

EDIT: Do we want to have byes?

Right now, Monty and EK have byes for the entire season! \:D/

No, we definitely don't want byes. It's lame when certain teams aren't playing every week. I think once the draft happens, the schedule will be reset and the byes will be removed. If anybody has suggestions for the scheduling or playoff system, I'm open to it.

I changed the head-to-head tiebreaker from "Most QB Points" to "Most Bench Points" because that seems more logical.

Let's see drafted last. But currently I really like the looks of my roster. Except the four quarterbacks and no real RB's besides AP. :P So, consider Drew Brees, Jay Cutler, Cam Newton and Andrew Luck on the market for the right price.

I didn't care for my draft but I can work with it. Anyone on my bench is available plus Vernon Wells and my defense. I forget who is Da Jays but I will give you Big Ben for shonn greene.

AE I will give you Mark Ingraham and Vernon Davis for Finley and Roy Helu.

Oh yeaaaaah my starting lineup of E. Manning, Bradshaw, T. Richardson, Desean Jackson, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Tony Gonzalez, Lawrence Tynes and the Ravens D will KILL EVERYONE! If Tebow ends up being good I'm sure glad I got Santonio Holmes.... I might get Tebow just in case he does end up actually doing something. If he doesn't I can always waive him and I'll still have best NY QB backing me up.

SWA, I decline your offer because I don't trust Mark Ingram right now.

You picked first in the first round, last in the second, first in the third round, etc. Here's the draft recap.

Jason Whits Son (are you around? :-k), I sent you a trade offer.

I still maintain that Cam Newton is a Running Back. :noway: That would make my life so much easier.

Not a bad roster. Anything is better than last year’s QB-less lineup. :P
I only moved 5 players up, and I got 4 of them. (Drew Brees was my #2 pick, to make sure I got a QB)

Starters:
Aaron Rogers (GB) QB - my #1 pick
DeMarco Murray (DAL) RB - don’t know who he is
Michael Turner (ATL) RB - heard his name, don’t know if he’s good
Jordy Nelson (GB) WR - one of my picks
Greg Jennings (GB) WR - one of my picks
Wes Welker (NE) WR - one of my picks
Brandon Pettigrew (DET) TE - no idea who he is
Seahawks D/ST - forgot to even rate this spot
Dan Bailey (DAL) K - never heard of him

Bench:
Frank Gore (SF) RB
BenJarvus Green-Ellis (CIN) RB
Jonathan Stewart (CAR) RB
Eric Decker (DEN) WR
Jahvid Best (DET) RB
Matt Schaub (HOU) QB
Peyton Hillis (KC) RB

MT is awesome. Amazing backfield for the falcons, even if they dont win anything with it.

BREAKING NEWS: DREW BREES AND C.J. SPILLER TRADED TO BOOKWORM FOR RB'S
This blockbuster is the first of this very young season. And after days of negotiations got done late Friday afternoon. The two parties were both happy with the outcome. Especially after a couple speed bumps made it's completion in doubt.

Brees was not available to make comment on the trade. But, Chair of the Board of the Staleys said. "I feel this trade betters are organization immensely. And the whole board definitely agrees. Negotiations with another team fell through for Brees. And around that time Bookworm stepped in saying he wanted him. So we decided, we have four quarterbacks. In Jay Cutler we have who we wanted. He's our guy. But to get two of the top 4 quarterbacks from last year in Drew and Cam Newton was amazing for us. There's definitely going to be some heated competition throughout training camp and the season. The addition of Demarco Murray is really big for us. We knew we needed to solidify the No. 2 spot on our team and we really did that today. While Drew will be missed it will not effect our goal to dominate during the season, and win a championship this year. We actually had high hopes for C.J. as a No. 3 running back. We wish him the best with his new team. And we really hope Peyton Hillis can turn back into the rusher he was two years ago. If not we're still okay."
