They are called the Supertones and they're not as good as Five Iron Frenzy, but they should be discussed anyway.

Especially because I can't get this song out of my head:

For some bizarre reason, youtube tags seem to not want to work correctly. I had to remove the entire youtube code, and then finalize the post. And then I went back and edited the coded video back in. I had to do that 2 times before it worked.

Youtube tags won't work if the link has "embedded"or "featured" in it. I manage to make it work every time by putting the video title into the Youtube search bar, then using the URL with "watch" in it that will then come up. *shrugs* Don't ask me why it only works like that, but that's the problem.

EDIT: Er, the proper URL to use will have the word "watch" in it. The improper will have the word "embedded" or "featured"; I can't remember which one. Sorry, I'm not making sense even to myself. ;)

Oh yes, I know that. This is the original link in the post: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytbdKrG3O80&ob" Now the last 3 characters can be omitted and it will work, but neither was working. It's just being dumb.

But I don't really understand the video itself. It just didn't make sense to me.

Use the chatroom! It's been active for a year, and most of you are missing it.

Orange County ska is a popular style again? That's funny. I was in high school and college during the third wave of ska, so this must therefore be fourth wave. Or maybe 3 1/2, since it's just the previous groups reforming? Um... I have nothing to add about the group itself. Sorry. :anxious:

I wish I would have been aware of the third wave of ska. I missed it by being like, a year old. :(

The Supertones don't appeal to me, from the little I've heard. It just does not compare to the epicness of "A Dark and Stormy Night."

The Supertones are more straight-up ska, while Five Iron Frenzy throws a bit of rock, punk, and even a little dash of hardcore into their music. However, if you want REALLY bad ska music, listen to The Insyderz. Now that is lame music! \:D/

For future reference, since this seems to confuse a lot of people:

You have to make sure you only have the link of the video itself, and nothing else.

To link to this video:

You have to make sure you don’t have extra code that the tag won’t understand.
Depending on how you navigated to the video to get the link, it may look like this in your browser:

Code: Select all

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WROOqR-H_kw&list=UUnJpRcU2EbiLf2y85Aw6Sfw&index=3&feature=plcp
You need to take off everything after the video code. It should always be the first ampersand. So cut that, and anything after it.

Code: Select all
