If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!
A while ago several of us expressed interest in signing up and playing on chess.com. I don’t know how many of you actually followed through on it, but if you have I’d like to get some organized participation going.
We should develop a ToO Chess club where we play online against each other frequently. We can have our own tournaments and things like that. I think it would be fun. Anyone interested? You don’t have to be good at chess, you just have to like to play.
I’ll put a reference list of ToOers and their chess.com usernames in the first post. Next time you log in everyone should add everyone else as friends so we can easily find each other for matches.
Obviously since my name was on the list I'm interested. I have a feeling this topic is not going to get as many views as other topics therefore the club will not reach its full potential. Somehow it needs to be publicized.
Not necessarily. As previously mentioned in the past, the Steps is the place for topics concerning the board. While this involves a club on the ToO, this is also a place of discussion not about the ToO. Theoretically, it could go in the Steps, but since it's here...

Depends on how fast you are. They’re played in real time.
We can have our first tournament soon to kick things off. Until then we should play some games against each other, or anyone else, to brush up on our skills.
We can create a group for Tooers only if we want to. The only problem is you need a premium membership. Also you need a premium membership for things like creating tournaments and I bunch of other stuff so someone might have to get it if we want to do it. A gold is $5 a month or $29 a year, Platinum is $7 a month or $49 a year, or a Diamond is $14 a month $99 a year. To create a a tournaments and groups and get a lot more features Platinum would be the best.

Unicorns exist... they just got fat and now we call them rhinos.
My online family
I am Monty's and thefinalhour Awesome Brother. GJ is my rebellious little sister
If you want me to be in your online family send me a PM.
I would join. But I really don't want to play any online. I don't concentrate as well. And I focus on blitz chess. (5 Minute under 18 regional champ) Otherwise I'd be all in.
To LGBT ToOers: The world is so much wider than your family and church. There are accepting people out there.
I already have the bracket ready, if no one else joins. We can start in a week or so.
I don’t anticipate the whole thing being done simultaneously, it will most likely span several days, so the time limit can be up to each player.

Wow, you really should meet my brother. He's a chess nut (not saying that you are or anything) and he's also the blitz champ for our area, actually our state I think.
