Adam Young is the Bomb
Okay, who else is addicted to Owl City? Or Sky Sailing? Or Port Blue? Seriously, Adam Young is awesome.

I've only heard one song by him, In Christ Alone, but that song was pretty awesome.
Personally, I prefer Chris Young.

I am in love with Adam Young's music. The way I see it, he has something for everyone: not into electronica? Try some Sky Sailing. Don't dig his singing? Port Blue is amazing. And if you like both, there is sweet, sweet Owl City. (Oh, and his handful of Seagull Orchestra and Insect Airport songs are worth gleaning off the internet, but skip his obscure screamo projects. Yes, I said screamo. Needless to say, there's a reason he didn't become a hard rocker.)

Honestly, the Owl City album All Things Bright and Beautiful pretty much got me through the last week of National Novel Writing Month last November. I love Ocean Eyes too.
Thanks to my Secret Santa for the set!

I would appreciate his music more if he didn't use so many studio magic like autotune in his music. I want to hear his natural voice. Other than that he's actually pretty enjoyable to listen to. I have about 3 songs from his on my ipod.

I love his music, I have every album except the Albatross EP from Port Blue. He is very creative, and the music makes you want to dance. He is truly the bomb.

I really don't understand why people like his "music." Could someone please explain using legitimate argument?

I’ve only heard two Owl City songs, Galaxies and Fireflies, but I really liked them both. I found the sound audibly pleasing and the melodies catchy.31899 wrote:I really don't understand why people like his "music."

Hey! As a girl I'm quite picky about my music, and Adam Young is the only 'mainstream' guy I like. So there.
I'd argue with you too about this, 31899, except that I know that you're still going to hate him no matter what anybody says. Besides, it's not like your arguments are exactly grounded in logic.
And I don't mind the effects Adam Young puts into his music--though his more accoustic tracks have their own unique beauty, for sure. He uses effects to make the sounds unique and interesting; he doesn't just slap an auto-tune effect on everything like most pop artists do.

Uh, dude. I'm a guy. Taps is also a guy. So there, too.conquestor wrote:*Clicks his tongue* Girls go for everyone and everything we boys have more brain.
Actually, I have never heard any autotune on any of his music. And autotune is pretty obvious when it gets used. So either I'm deaf, or that's his real voice...
Though, I must admit, this video is pretty lame:

His more recent music videos are far better, for sure. "Alligator Sky", anyone?
