New Years Plans?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

New Years Plans?

Post by Jesus' Princess »

What are you guys doing tomorrow? We usually have dinner and then make popcorn and watch a movie, my parents always tell us that we can't stay up until midnight, so they say the since its midnight on the east coast, we can go to bed at nine. (we are on Pacific time) We usually don't agree :noway: but end up going to bed anyway.

On New years day, we usually play board games, and go to our cousins house or something. This year we'll be going to church, and meeting some people.

We have some friends coming for supper and some games, but they have younger kids so they have to leave early. :( We'll probably watch a couple of videos after they leave, and then we bought some sparking white grape juice to have at midnight. \:D/

Usually I just decide whatever I am going to bed. But this year I am having a lock-in with Youth Group at my Church. It's going to be great. \:D/

We'll probably play games, and my dad will probably shoot a gun off the porch. (don't worry, we're in the woods and it's okay). Apart from that, not much else. My church has had a talent show on New Years Eve in the past, but this year they aren't because I think they didn't get enough participants.

Mission Impossible marathon! \:D/
Plus a bunch of games, good food (I make homemade macaroni and cheese), and sparkling cider with the family!
And some poppers if I convince my parents to buy them. :)

It's ironic, we were up until after midnight last night planning our trip to TN, and buying tickets, I'm not sure if I'll stay up tonight or not.

I'll probably stay up to midnight with a couple of siblings watching a movie or something. I'll probably be doing absolutely nothing productive.

Staying home. I'm not staying up either.

Why, throw a wild, crazy, wake-every-neighbor-within-a-two-mile-radius party, of course! \:D/

I'll probably stay up, and then again, I may not. :shrugs: Who knows?

I know this isn't "What did you do for New Years?", but it's close enough.

On the night before New Years, I accidentally stayed up late, and to top that, I layed in bed for at least two hours, unable to fall asleep. I ended up sleeping for less than two hours. I awoke and had to work from 9am-5pm. I was half-asleep for most of the shift.

My brother picked me up and work and we drove two hours to our friends' New Years party. We played games (including Apples to Apples, which reminded me of The ToO ;)), watched some Kung Fu Panda, spent hours talking and singing, and split up into teams and performed impromptu skits. My team saved our skit for last and labeled it "the Grand Finale". \:D/ I made people laugh, YES. :P

I love my friends so much. We stayed until about 4:30 in the morning, and then drove home. Best New Years ever.

We always stay up watching movies until midnight and then watch the ball drop on tv.
This year we watched The Fellowship of the Ring.
