You may post goals at any time between now and the end of the contest, and you may modify them at any time.
Why goals? (1) You will personally benefit from goal-setting if you take it seriously and (2) you will be better rewarded with prizes.
What kind of goals? This is completely up to you, but they must be specific. For example, "Exercise for 30 min/day 3x/week during July" is acceptable; "exercise more" is not. I also recommend that your goals be attainable. For example, "Run a 10K this month" is a good goal for regular runners but terrible for those who don't normally run.
To qualify for the higher money option, post an assessment of how you're doing with respect to your goal each week at any time during the week. If you assessed your goals one week and didn't assess your goals the next week, you would receive the higher money option for the week you assessed and the lower money option for the week you didn't assess your goals.
To qualify for the higher money option, you do not need to achieve your goal; you only need to assess how you're doing. The important thing is that you're working towards an attainable goal. If you find that your original goal is too hard or too easy, please modify it. Believe it or not, these goals are for you!
To receive credit for your goal assessments, you must post them during that week. (So when we get to July 31, you can't post a July 1 report and receive money for that. ) Reports are due at the end of each week on Saturdays (with the exception of the last week since July ends on a Friday):
July 1-4 (Reports accepted through Sat, July 4 @ 11:59 PM EDT)
July 5-11 (Reports accepted through Sat, July 11 @ 11:59 PM EDT)
July 12-18 (Reports accepted through Sat, July 18 @ 11:59 PM EDT)
July 19-25 (Reports accepted through Sat, July 25 @ 11:59 PM EDT)
July 26-31 (Reports accepted through Fri, July 31 @ 11:59 PM EDT)

Yeah, I actually didn't exercise at all this month.
I love how your contests are more than just the regular website stuff. The contests actually make us better people in real life. If we take part in them, of course. It sounds like a brilliant contest, iTaliq!
Okey dokey, since I won't be able to get on the computer the next few days, I'll go ahead and scribble down a few goals and modify them later!
I would like to walk/jog for at least 10 minutes, 3 times a week.
I would also like to do 15 crunches at least 5 times a week.
We'll see how that goes!

~Swim 1hr - 1 and 1/2hr 5 days a week
~Jog at least two times per week
~Bike a mile a day
~Do some push-ups each day (ug)
~Other stuff (sit-ups, squats, table-tops etc)
~STRETCH!
~...and if my dad signs us up, participate in a triathlon
Summer is a good time for me... swim practice is every morning, and I have to bike there and back (1/2 mile each way). What fun! My main goal is the running... that'll be tough. I also would like to survive swim practice... I'm still working on that one.
My goals are to exercise at least 20 minutes 5 days a week, stretch 10 minutes a day (I'm working towards doing the splits by the end of the summer), and weight lift 5 times a week.

#1 Run a 5k in under 20 min.
#2 Run at least 25 miles each week unless I'm racing...
#3 Lift weights for 2 days a week, an hour at a time.
#4 Bike at least 3 times with mileage over 20 miles.
#5 Do pilates 2 times per week.
#6 Don't break a leg...

Hrm, seeing as I can't predict what I'll do at camp, I'll just set a little goal for the first week of 20 pushups in a row, two times.

My exercise goals for July 1-4 are as follows:
Run one 7K
Do 100 push-ups daily
Do 100 sit-ups daily
Wow! Now I feel terrible.
I think Trent is going to be the Jugglah of the exercise contest.

I wasn't yelling. I was talking with vehemence.
Okay, I'm going to start with very modest goals for week one! This will be good for me, since I'll have to actually keep track of how long I'm exercising.
- 10 minutes of jogging on the spot - 5 days a week
- 50 jumping jacks - 5 days a week
