Upcoming production by FOTF Radio Theatre!
Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Okay, so who else was excited to find out that FOTF Radio Theatre will be producing
The Screwtape Letters ?
And better yet... that Andy Serkis will be doing the voice of Screwtape?!
Check out our interview with Paul McCusker, author and director of Darien's Rise !

Andy Serkis is the guy who played Gollum in the LOTR movies, right?
I'm not a huge fan of the book, but it might be more interesting this way.

Sounds interesting. I actually have never read the book.
Whenever I hear of it. I think of the Isaac the Insecure episode with Jack and Isaac doing a report on CS. Lewis. Jack got up to the part where he wrote the Screwtape Letters. *Random, but I always crack up when Isaac says that he'll beat up the kid unless he's bigger then him. In that case, he would go home and have a good cry (soooo funny)*
Anyways, back on topic. Sounds good.
I do what I do.

It's not out on CD until fall 2009. I believe it's a tie-in with the upcoming Walden-released movie.

Awesomeness!
Thanks for the info, Trent and Dave! My family has lots of Radio Theatre CDs, and we will definitely add this one to the list when it's available! I read the book quite a few years ago, so this gives me lots of time to read it again.

Sounds great!
My grandmother will probably get it as soon as it comes out, so my family and I will probably get the chance to listen to it!

Nah, that was just a ploy that
Family Life Today used to try to get more listeners... not that they have a Radio Theater or anything.

Splendid! I can't wait to check that out when it comes out.

I recently participated in a production of the Screwtape letters, so I think I've had my fill of it for now.

Oh wow , I had no idea. I must get my hands on this. I thought Radio Theater had been called off by FotF, when did it revive?

I think that they're just doing a project here and there, instead of it being a regular thing, and that's the difference.
I don't think that it's revived in the sense that they're regularly making new productions, but they're just doing a few projects when they can.

I think that its awesome that Radio Theatre "ended" and yet is still trickling out new ones.

So, now they're just doing movie tie-in productions? Like the Amazing Grace ones when the movie came out. The sad thing about that is there are rarely good enough movies coming out for FOTF to bother making an audio drama about them.
