I was talking with some friends which gave me this idea. What do you call that device? I personally call it channel changer... I have heard many other options... What about you?

Either clicker or remote... I voted clicker since I
think that's what I usually say.
Never heard anyone call it a box before...though I may have heard the TV itself called a box....

Remote anymore. I used to say clicker because we had a remote that actually clicked when you pushed a button.

I have only ever heard it called "remote" and "channel changer." Everyone I know calls it a "remote." I use "remote."

Lol... I've never even heard of most of those. Remote. That's the way to go.

I call it the remote, unless my mind goes blank...only then will I say pookler.

I usually say remote unless I have the minor mind blank thing. But then I just say clicker.

I call it a remote, my brothers call it "give it to me or your going to pay", and my friends call it "that square silver clicker."

I just say remote, but it's funny how different people call stuff different names.
For some reason me and my family call Kraft Dinner 'cheese noodles'. We're not sure why...

I've
never heard anyone call it "the clicker" before. It must be an American thing.
