Weird Dreams

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Weird Dreams

Post by Jugglah »

So, I had this weird dream last night. Feel free to laugh at the utter randomness of my subconscious.

It started harmlessly enough, with me and my best friend playing frisbee. After which, it dissolved into utter nonsense. When I woke up, I could only remember a few coherent words that are completely disconnected: octopus, lettuce, dentist, and Sir Walter Scott. Bizarre, I know. :anxious: And it's true. I couldn't make up stuff like this. Haha.

I think this might even beat out the dream I had when I was like 15, and I dreamed I was babysitting a gorilla. :-k

So, have you guys ever had funny/weird dreams, or should I go find psychiatric treatment as soon as possible?

Oh, yes, I've had really weird dreams. One of the dreams I had once, I was in this huge warehouse type building and there was an amazing amount of brown waterslides that everyone was sliding down. In another one, I just kept going down this never-ending black bees nest sort of cavern thing... Which... that sentence probably made no sense to any of you. The most intriguing dream I've had is a dream about Christ's coming again. It was really vivid and taught me something even though it was just a dream. But yeah. I've had some rather interesting dreams. \:D/

Me and dreams do not mix.

Especially recently. I've been having these crazy dreams about things that don't make any sense. And they usually start out about one subject, and then mesh into several stranger ones. \:D/

And most of the time the dreams about about me dreaming. Or at least telling other people about my dreams. :anxious:

I have been having REALLY weird dreams lately. My latest one that I remember happened the other night.

Our family was apparently really good friends with Sarah Palin and her family. So we were at their house having dinner and chatting it up, etc. (on a side note, her daughter Bristol is a spoiled brat, and her son Track is a nice guy \:D/) *cough* Anyways. We were sitting there eating when we heard a sound outside. Sarah's husband got up and looked out the window and saw a huge mob of angry democrats outside. They were screaming stuff and waving picket signs and whatnot. Everyone jumped up in a panic and pretty much locked all teh doors, closed and barred all the windows and stuff. Then this angry band of extremist democrats came and set the house on fire with us inside \:D/

Then I woke up. :(

Last night I had a really weird dream. Something about being down in Arizona and forgetting when my plane was supposed to take off to go back home. And so I was at this huge building (don't even know what it was) that was across from the airport, and there were a bunch of people coming after me (and a bunch of other random people) with guns. So I had to try and get to a computer to find out when my plane took off without getting sniped down! I never did get home... :anxious:

I don't have normal dreams ;) One of my weirder ones happened when I was a freshman in college and living off of grilled cheese sandwiches. To make a long dream story short, I dreamt that I was hallucinating about guinea pigs in my dorm, one of which was a giant guinea pig. In my dream I went home that night and relayed the incident to my Dad at dinner, who said "Well if you didn't eat so much grilled cheese that stuff wouldn't happen".

.....at the dining center the next day, I found myself thinking long and hard over whether I was going to have a grilled sandwich for lunch.

One the most hilarious/really sad dreams I've ever had happened when I was like, 8 or 9. I was looking at Stone Henge and this old guy with the walking stick was looking at it when all the stones suddenly fell on top of him. I managed to get him out of the wreckage, so I tried to get him to a hospital (even though....he was dead >_>). I went through a long tunnel with weird people and then woke up.

.....yeah. I don't think I've ever had a normal dream. What is a normal dream? Psh.

One time I dreamed that Christ returned and we were in heaven. But heaven turned out to be a place with floors and walls made of clouds, and was really drab. There was only like a dozen people there and Jesus looked like any other person. It was really weird and depressing. :(

Also, my brother used to have a recurring dream of being stuck inside a Triscuit box. :-k

I wouldn't have minded seeing what that dream was like. :)

Quick question: If he was stuck inside it, how did he know it was a triscuit box?

My dreams are usually very weird, but interesting. The funny thing is, while I'm having the dream everything that happens seems to make perfect sense, then I wake up and realize how utterly absurd everything was. :) Unfortunately, I very quickly forget a lot of the details of my dreams, so it's hard to describe them while still making even an ounce of sense. :p

Mhm, I know what you mean. It'll feel so real, and I'll know exactly what is going on, and usually why. But when I wake up, it all blurs into a confusing picture that makes no sense.

That describes me too! For a few seconds after I wake up, I can remember what the dream was about. After that I might remember something in a vague way, but I very rarely actually remember any of the details of my dreams.

That is rather amusing! \:D/

I had a dream the other night that a friend of mine was going to have twins... and she was going to name one "Sweet" and other one "Nice." I got really angry with her for wanting to name her kids such stupid names and stormed out of the hospital room. And then I woke up. :noway:

On a related note, I once had a nightmare that someone from my church had been run over by a Saltine cracker delivery truck. In the dream, the situation was very dire. I attended the funeral.

I had one once where "we" got the news that this friend of ours who had been in Austria with his high school had gotten killed by terrorists. I was really upset by this.

When I told my friend about this a year or so later he was like "Wow, I'm never going to Austria now."

I've had some pretty deep ones...but I can't remember them. :)

I ALWAYS have weird dreams.

I always either dream about Mt. St. Helens blowing up again right next to my old school, LAES. And all my friends aren't scared, and I'm the only one seeing lava come straight for us... I still don't understand those dreams.

Or I dream about weird people, spiders, and my friends being eaten.

Only once have I woken up crying from a nightmare/dream. I forget why.. but I think it was about my dad. It was probably around his accident. I don't remember... My dreams are just odd, and I don't remember much of them.

What is sad is that everyone else can dream about people they like or something to that effect. I can't even dream about ANYONE except my best friends... I might have to make an apology to Ms. Whidden now...

Well, my dreams are just plain weird anyway...
