Has anybody been to the 'Whit's End' in Colorado?

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

I have! It was really fun, but I think it could be better.

Did anybody do the record your own Odyssey thing? Now that was pure awesomeness!

How can you improve on a three-story slide?

I think Whit's End is great. Maybe just add a Bible room.

The slide was cool, but it didn't have much real stuff, like 'The Electric Palace' was just a window, you couldn't go inside.
I liked the Underground Railroad tunnel though!

They should have an inventors corner!!!

Yeah! They should make it like the REAL Whits End! (Even though that might be kinda hard and expensive...)

I went there in 1997 and it was way cool.

I also visited AIO At Focus WAY back in 1989 in LA, but it was just pictures on a wall.

I am a big fan of AIO, but I am not Jave Griffin or have ever been on AIO. I am just a huge fan of AIO and Jimmy Barclay. I love Odyssey, and Jimmy rules.

Take away the age/height requirement--if I remember there was one and I wanted to go on it ;)

I've been once before, June of 2000, and will be going again this August \:D/

I visited about 10 years ago, and would love to go back and see what has changed. I remember cheap prices at "Whit's End," and burning my knee on the slide on the way down.

I remember the Wodfamchocsod. I had always wanted a Wodfamchocsod and my dreams came true that day. Also I got to watch my dad go down the slide. That was a riot!

I didn't see WODFAMCHOCSOD on their menu when I went... :-k

There should be a real Imagination Station, you couldn't go for a ride in it, but you could have fun looking around, and of course you could IMAGINE that you were going for a ride! \:D/

I go to Whits End in Colorado every week! I am a volunteer at Focus on the Family so I get free lunch there. And since I have some close friends working there it makes it all worth while. I just wish that they had more variety in their food choices. It seems to me that the food Whit serves on the radio is not the same as they serve here in Colorado. If any of you have rich parents out there that is how you can get a better Whits End. Since Focus on the Family is a people-supported ministry the only chances of getting a better Whits End would be for someone with a lot of money to come in and say, "I want to build a better Whits End for Focus on the Family" There have been people who have done that sort of thing in the past.

I don't know if you are talking about the age/height limit for the slide but there is a limit for the slide. Poor me I'm like 6' 2" and I'm too tall to go down the slide. They worry about people like me suing the ministry because I guess going down a slide is a safety precaution. Now I have friends who let me go down the slide maybe once or twice a year provided I don't sue the ministry. Not that I ever would! I guess I consider going down the slide a very special occasion and don't do it all the time. I went down a couple of weeks ago and made a mistake of wearing a skirt. Big advisory: DON'T GO DOWN THE SLIDE IN A SKIRT! I imagine most people (especially men) wouldn't do this but just so you know.
