Healthy alternatives.

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Healthy alternatives.

Post by Candy »

To chocolate: Oranges and apples

To Pixy stix: Sunflower seeds

To me, they acctually taste almost as good!

Nothing, and I repeat nothing, is as good at chocolate. Chocolate is... un-alternative-ish. :noway:

*ambushes you*

Chocolate is vital to your health! \:D/

Just kidding, as usual. >_> I like chocolate, but I'm not that crazy about it or anything--although I do get these chocolate cravings sometimes. ^_^

*abushes you too*

Chocolate is actually a vegetable! I can prove it too!

Vegetable > Bean > Choco Bean > Chocolate Ha! See?

Seriously though, chocolate is good for you. You should have at least 2 grams of it every day.

One time I was at some conference with my dad and these people took us to see real chocolate being made. It was so much fun. \:D/ Didn't taste anything like a Hershey bar, but hey, it was still chocolate. \:D/

They put soooo much sugar in that stuff. It's not even funny. :noway:

Am I missing something about these "alternatives"? They seem to be chosen at random. Is there something about an orange that makes it a good replacement for chocolate? More importantly, can anything really replace chocolate?

Healthy alternative to broccoli: popcorn.

Healthy alternative to cauliflower: buffalo wings.

To truly make this accurate, you have to mention the extra butter and salt, I think. :-k You have to provide detail when recommending such a fabulous healthy alternative, because otherwise people might get confused and therefore not receive the full benefit of your suggestion. :(

But really, as good as buffalo wings are, they are a pain to eat, what with the bone in the middle and all... definitely go with the boneless ones that everyone seems to be selling these days... \:D/

I wish I could find the Far Side about the boneless chicken ranch... :(

EDIT:

Oddly I can't find just a regular print of it, but this will do... ;)
