Timeless Characters

...in movies, books, etc.

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Timeless Characters

Post by LizzieG »

Of all the books and movies you've seen, which characters will you never forget and why? You can include characters from audio dramas if you like, but preferably not Adventures in Odyssey.

I'll answer later when I'm more awake, but until then, share away!

Turtle Wexler from The Westing Game, Reepicheep, Aslan and Nancy from Oliver Twist would probably be the most timeless characters. I'll probably think of more later.

TKM? To Kill a Mockingbird? :anxious:

I had to read it for my English class, it was the only one I actually liked of the ones we read that year.

Yes Your correct TKM is short for To Kill A Mockingbird. Even though I now think it's a good book I still havent went out and added it to my collection or have I added the movie to my collection.

I'll never forget... hmm... well, if you asked me a month or so ago, I wouldn't say this, but I'll probably never forget various Pevensies from Chronicles of Narnia, HA! Spoilers. Kevin/Slater/Samantha from Thr3e by Ted DekKer, Miriam or Seth from Blink by Ted DekKer, Frodo and Sam from LotR (the movies and the books) ... and Cloud Strife from Advent Children. Yes, children, I finally watched it through - Japanese audio and English subtitles - two or three times today, so I'm moderately attached to it as of now.

Yes! I second that! (though you might want to put a spoiler warning up there for those who haven't read Thr3e yet...)

Edited to white-out the spoiler. ~Holly

And Gil - don't forget Gil! I know that I never will! \:D/

This is an interesting thread...it's fun seeing what other people say! I would have to say Anne and Gil (of course! ;)) and Han Solo and Mr. Darcy and Jack and Sue from Sue Thomas:FBEye (that's Jack in my sig, for the few unenlightened people out there ;)) would all qualify as special and unforgettable for me. There are some others that come and go in my estimation, based on how recently I've watched something with a particular character in it or read a certain book, but these characters I wouldn't easily forget.

I agree with Sarai and LizzieG about the certain character in Thr3e by Ted Dekker and with Bumble about Darth Vader from Star Wars. Gollum from Lord of the Rings is also hard to forget.
