They say it's 97 here with very high humidity and another chance of thunder storms. It is just plain hot!
Here's a good idea for those people without AC units. Take a cold shower once out, put something loose and airy on, then fill up a small bucket or bowl with cold water from the faucet and then take several handfuls of ice and then dip your hands in and just saturate your face and feet. It keeps the body temp down. Also, wet a small hand towel and place it on the back of your neck and allow it to sit there. It'll also keep your body from over heating.

Thanks for the tip...
it's a good one, but a bit of a bother... I just may try that if I get desperate.

A rather pleasant 75 degrees or so!! It's been quite a bit hotter than that lately... finally has cooled down a bit.

Yep. But then again...after 4-5 months of pure rain...it gets pretty dreary.WINDSHEAR wrote:absolutely I'd take rain over heat any dayLucy wrote:I'ts cold and rainy out side today. And has been for the past month and a half. I love the rain! Much better then the heat.

We've gotten heavy downpours the last two evenings.
If you want to escape the summer heat, move here to Arizona!
