AdventureInOdyssey.com
I just discovered AdventuresinOdyssey.com ... I don't believe it's affiliated with Focus on the Family.
By the way, Odyssey products are real cheap on that website. Great deal. I discovered that it actually still leads to whitsend.org, but a Google search led me to a store.

Is it affiliated with FOTF?

Maybe they're putting together a special website for ordering Odyssey's and Radio Theatres, but we're not supposed to know about it yet?
Search engine spiders really wreck all the fun.

I was going to note, a while ago, that the website is "adventure in Odyssey"... no "S" on adventure, which pretty much makes it unofficial.
Also, I have come by this link of an earlier discussion on the matter just now...

Hope this clears some things up.

Speaking of affiliations... Focus on the Family should consider putting together a special website dedicated to "Adventures in Odyssey" products and merchandise. I think it would benefit them. Rather than have the products on their family.org Resources page, it would be better if they put up their own shopping cart area with all the albums, each organized nicely. That's the problem with online resource websites... you have to search to find what you're looking for and they don't always provide simple listings. They do, sometimes... and they don't other times.
A good idea? A bad idea? It would be set up kind of like the VeggieTales "Studio Store," but better. Better as in AIO is, by far, the best thing to sell on the internet.

The problem that I have with FOTF is when you order from them a week, or two after you order you will receive a notice in the mail stating that the item you have ordered is backordered. Then when you do get the item, nine times out of ten if it is an AIO album, or RT, one CD or track will not play. I have run into this problem so many times that I finally stopped ordering from Focus completely. I have better luck buying the albums in the stores or from CBD. FOTF Canada is the same way, they say that they have what you want and then turn around and say it is backordered.

Did you read this thread or the one Brian linked it to?
We've already established that it isn't connected to FotF.

Well, it's a free shop making program called osCommerce that they used (like phpBB is free for forums), and it seems they didn't understand all the details. They didn't put in any info about the site- Shipping, Privacy, Conditions... I think it's more for lack of knowing the program than for not being a serious company.

I tend to agree. They're probably harmless, but I would at least wait until they have more solid information. Definitely wait until you see a firm company address, phone numbers, and any other contact info. If there's only an email address listed, they don't deserve our trust. I had a similar experience with my web hosting company. I got my hosting through www.worldwebhosters.com (they're a SCAM!) and they only provided an email address for their customers to contact. They never said where they were stationed in the United States and never showed me a place to write to them. No phone number, nothing. So a few years after hosting the Scoop with them, they suddenly disappeared and took my account with them. So at the beginning of the summer I had the purchase hosting from someone else and re-upload the files.
Amen, Darcy. They probably aren't dangerous. But it would be good to be cautious until you see a writing address and phone number.

Just and FYI:
I have ordered almost all of my AIO cd's from them (adventureinodyssey.com) and have never had a problem with them. That web page is just for their AIO products, the home site is www.mountcarmel.com and they are based out of WA. I've spoke with the owner personally and he's very nice.
