Edwin showed Phillips how to open the secret room. He stepped inside and looked around. It was adequately furnished enough for a hideout. There was a couch along one wall, a few chairs, a small table, a desk in the corner.
“Heh, a secret room in the basement of a theater. Just like in the movies.” He smirked. “Perfect.”

Edwin stepped lightly up the stairs, feeling energetic and excited. It was hard to believe that everything was finally coming together. There were only a few small details to smooth out now, and soon he would be the most powerful man in the world.

Don't lose focus, Edwin, he scolded himself internally. Great plans hinge on the little details, and it wouldn't do to get careless now. There would be plenty of time to celebrate after he had won.

"Shakespeare!" he called impatiently. Where was that valet now?
