I concur with GG.

The main reason I joined (and now co-run) the Soda Shop is because I wanted a chance to have an alternative to the TOO. Not that there's ever been anything distinctly "wrong" with the TOO, it just went against nearly all of my personal preferences with it's messy layout, ancient design, lack of actual discussion of AIO (which is why I assume most people join an AIO forum), and honestly, at that point a lot of the users seemed really... fake. All of that and the fact that I still didn't feel even remotely a part of the community after around a hundred or so posts. I tried to get involved, but the people active users at that time didn't really seem very involving.

The SS counters the ToO in a lot of ways, in it's far more sleek and comprehensible design, debatably more welcoming users, and smaller community (which I assure you, is simply a matter of preference). I basically just think of the SS as the ToO for people who don't like the ToO. It's a counter part for those with different preferences.

- Aaron Wiley

P.S. for any of those questioning the comment about the SS admin being better looking than the ToO admin team, I fully stand by that statement unless a proper refutal and be proposed. I'm very confident in my good looks.

Some more...
15. The Mods and members care about the un clogging of this board, so they report things
16. Even if the members have different views about a character, etc, they don't let it et between them being friends
At 15. Erm, we have moderators that do stuff. And there's not much to do. And not much of a problem. So I'm sure how this applies.
At 16. First off, that was changed since the original post, but I haven't really seen this happen here. The original number 16 was "No one thinks I'm a loser on here! That makes anything better!" If he's referring to himself being thought a loser on here, then he's most likely mistaken.

I'm closing in on 4,000, and I'm still rather a newb. :P

And the whole smaller board thing, yeah, I used to be one of those people. And then I actually went to a big(ger, this place really isn't that big at all.) board, no going back.

Give this place a chance, (Or don't, really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. [This could be why new people find this place "uninviting". Until you give them reason to, no one has any reason to be saying. "Hey I'm {name here} welcome to {name here} this is a really awesome place! I hope you stick around. \:D/" Or to put another way. No one has any reason to think you're not a toaster that fell on a keyboard and made an account until you prove otherwise. ])

And anyone who says the \:D/ isn't cool is completely and utterly wrong. Fact of life, not an insult.

@AE Well thanks, it's nice to know some people still even remember me here. -Ehem- I mean, I reject your sentiments and spit in your face. This is no longer a simple discussion about which board is better, THIS IS WAR! Soda-shoppers, rally behind me! We must show these fowl folk that quality it better than quantity, and that Jacob Isom has cooler designs than any other in the AIO online community! There isn't enough room on the internet for two boards discussing the same show. We shan't relent until the TOO is DEAD (figuratively, I mean. In reality we won't stop until this gets boring and everyone decides to just get back to normal discussion and whatnot on their own forums, or perhaps we'll come to some agreement and make some friends here. Who knows?)

You're waging war against the wrong acronym. It's ToO, not TOO.

T.S. (myself) wrote:We don't limit the topics. However, we still have a higher percentage of AiO posts, even though the topics are not limited.
I didn’t say you did, I said it’s not a bad thing that we don’t, which is what you implied.
T.S. (myself) wrote:I was refferring to the message board as a whole, not individuals. I doubt that you know all of your members as well as I know our members. When someone has a problem, people know about it faster. Our small size may limit us in some areas, but in this regard it is an advantage.
This doesn’t make sense. Your claim was that we don’t have close personal relationships with each other, but then say you meant as a whole and not as individuals? You can’t have a personal relationship with something as a whole, you have it with people, thus making it ‘personal’. And size has nothing to do with it, it’s up to each individual who they want to let in on their personal lives (as it should be on the internet), they can choose to become close to a handful of people, or a great number of people, whatever they’re comfortable with. And after doing so, those people will know when something is going on.
So all you’re really saying is that everyone on your board has let everyone else into their lives, which is not something that makes one site or the other better, it’s all just about personal comfort and preference.
T.S. (myself) wrote:This tells me that you have not spent much time over at our board. Five minutes with the right members and you would get it.
No, I’m saying whether you can flirt or not doesn’t make one better or not. Neither of the sites are intended for flirting, so the argument is irrelevant.

Sure it doesn't. But it does mean that you don't care about AiO as much as we do in this regard.
It absolutely does not. The number of posts on a subject has nothing to do with indicating the level of care about said subject.
T.S. (myself) wrote:Even if your dancing smiley worked in your favor, would it really 'seal the case' for you?
The case of whether or not I use this site? Of course not. But the same goes for you. Whether the smiley ‘works’ for you or not, it doesn’t ‘seal the case’ for whether the site is better or worse.

It means that we had a recent update.
I repeat, what does that even mean?

And, incidentally, the Soda Shop has half as many AIO posts as non-AIO posts. Okay, by your logic, you don't care about AIO either. :-

T.S. (myself) wrote:If we need more material, do you know how many ToOites have accounts that have never been used? Joy is the only ToOite who uses their account regularly. Snubs and Christian do occasionally.
You do realize that’s material for making our case and not yours, right?
If they signed up with you and then never became active, that means they choose to be active here instead. That doesn’t necessarily mean our site is better than yours, but it does mean that yours is not better than ours. (Because otherwise they would have taken their activity there.)

I would like to repeat my previous question. What is the purpose of your list? To me, it only appears to serve one purpose: to build your forum up by tearing ours down.

And really, as a Christian message board, that's not representing Christ very well, is it? Have your members thought about that at all?

10. Out administrative team is by FAR hundreds of times better looking than the admin team over there.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, fist of all. But beyond that, this has absolutely no effect on whether one site is better or worse. The character of the admin is what’s important, not the looks.

ToOers, you all FAIL for not taking this as a joke. I'm a little ashamed of you for being so lame. Insult 'em back! \:D/ Let 'em know why we rock and they suck!

On behalf of the ToO, let me publicly apologize for turning this fun thing into a moral debate. :( We're working on that.

We are trying to represent Christ here. Therefore, we shall conduct ourselves in much more mature manner than our opponents.

Likewise. Even ‘fake’ points need real supporting reasoning.
