Just to prove I’m not always negative, I’ll comment on something rule related that I’m actually pleased about.
Last season you may recall that I expressed my confusion about why the overtime rules would be changed only for postseason games. I could see no sensible basis for that, a game is a game, there isn’t some point on the calendar when the fundamentals magically change.
It would seem that the league took another look and came to the realization that this setup was as irrational as I had contended that it was, because this season the new rules were implemented for regular season games as well.
I’m very happy this change was made, and I commend the NFL for making it. It was the right move.

And if anyone is wondering, the result wouldn’t have changed if I had counted the various picks I didn’t throughout the season.

And my streak continues! The team I have rooted for in every Super Bowl since I’ve been following football (eight years now) has won!
Keeping with tradition (since last season), I have made a little animation of the playoff road.

And I retroactively made ones for the other seasons I followed as well. They can be found in my gallery.

Well that was unexpected.

Next season we sound make note of the ToO rivalry games, it would add some extra fun to the matchups. Here were this season’s, in hindsight.
Anything Bills would be mine...

Thanks Dan, I didn’t know if you had one. I’ll remember that for next year.
I know Ryder is the Patriots, but they didn’t play anyone else’s that I saw.
