I received the ever popular "Safari cannot connect to the Server" message again. I really wish this could be fixed but I guess that wish will never come true.

It will never be fixed to the extent that you never get it again, because that is the generic error that can be thrown by many problems, many of which are not specific to this site. No website is up 100% of the time. However there seems to be some common factor throwing these ones we see currently, based on their timing and consistency, so I also hope that it can be narrowed down.
I just got the "Safari cannot connect to server" message again a few minutes ago. I go to a message board that has only been down once this year for maintenance which is a whole lot more than I can say about the ToO. I never get server messages with the other site like I do the ToO. I could name more sites but I see that it would be pointless.

Even though posting about this is a total waste of time since nothing is going to change I'm posting it anyway. I have received the "Safari cannot connect to the server message" again more than once this afternoon. Once while trying to post.

It hasn't been 'super' slow for me, but there has been definitely noticeable lag recently. Not constant though, just the first few times I try to load the index after being away. Once it gets going again it seems to be fine.
I've been having internet service provider issues the last couple of weeks, where sometimes service has cut in and out, so I've blamed that for any issues I've had with the ToO, but it has seemed slow lately. Hmmm.
