The ToO's Fantasy Football League

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Excluding the Stapler and Enliven campaigns, this league is the most fun I've ever had on the ToO.

Laura is my archrival. ;)

Haha, awesome. \:D/

Laura Ingalls vs. American Eagle
Knight Fisher vs. bookworm
Stop Wooton Around vs. Jason Whits Son

I'm excited already. We have two regular weeks left, then Rivalry Week, then our two-round playoff.

Benched Sanchez for Ponder, Grant for Bush, and Gonzalez for Davis.
Dropped Vinatieri for Stephen Gostkowski.

I randomly picked up Marshawn Lynch a few weeks ago... 26 points last night, not bad.

Cam Newton made up for him. ;) Good grief, 37 points with 3 rushing TDs? And he didn't throw to Steve Smith enough. :x
Why did they take a TD away from Brady? He had 3 passes to Gronkowski for awhile there, and now it's saying the last one was a run. :-k

Yeah, Cam scores over half my points. \:D/ I'm projected to get 67. :( Cam is also the only guy I started to get over ten. I really think I should be able to start Tebow as a running back. Completely blew it with Shonn Greene. But good win Laura.

I probably should have asked this sooner, but how exactly are these points awarded?
Specifically for QBs and D/ST, what gives positive points and what gives negative?

Thanks Laura (I edited your list to make it easier to read) I’ll study that and see if I’ve been choosing who to play based on the right stats.

Amazing Epicness cruised to another win this week. \:D/

Some random facts:
  • Our playoff will begin after two more full regular season weeks.
  • Jason Whits Son and bookworm cannot possible reach the playoffs. They will play each other for the final two weeks.
  • The rest of us (AE, Laura, KF, SWA) are all locked to reach the postseason.
  • Laura will likely be the #1 seed, and KF will likely be the #4 seed. They would then face each other in the first round.
  • After this week, I'll be 8-5. SWA will either be 9-4 or 10-3. If we end up with the same record, I would be the #2 seed. (The tie-breaker is head-to-head record, and I beat him 2-1.) It doesn't really matter; we'll face each other anyway.
  • As noted, week 15 is rivalry week. \:D/

True. If we end up tied, you will become the #3 seed.

It’s actually not a surprise I can’t win, it’s totally expected. Remember that I don’t have a quarterback. Essentially I’m not getting points for a whole position. So obviously it’s not possible to win on my own merit by doing good, the only way I’ll win is if my opponent does bad.

I don't get it - you just said you didn't have a quarterback - you have 2. No, they aren't superstars, but Matt Ryan is ranked 8th and got 22 points last week. :P
