Regis Returns II -- discussion

Attention RPG participants. This story is preparing to enter its end phase.
My coproducer and I have the timeline of events pretty much set. We will make things happen, you will all respond as you see fit. We don’t have much on the good guys’ side scripted, so you will determine how things go. Just remember to keep your character’s mind in mind. None of you know what is going on, you have to piece it together from what you witness. Draw your conclusions and take your actions accordingly.

We are not at the imminent end just yet, so you don’t need to jump into action immediately. We are entering a transition period that will set up the final phase. Right now, just make sure you and your character are staying alert. You don’t need to act just yet, but when you do something you saw or felt may help you figure out what’s going on and what to do about it.

Explanation of:

OOC: In the interest of Whit not being killed off by nefarious characters...

After repeated requests for people to make a few posts to establish the new day so the plot could move along, and no responses, I threatened to kill off everyone’s characters.
(I know the RPGers already know this, because it was a group mail, this is for any outside readers in the audience who may be confused.)

When will we finish it? (P.S. Monty could be assigned to Odyssey after they found out about Edwin.)

I will consult with my coproducer about how Monty can be written in mid-film. Most of the upcoming plot points are unchangeable if the story is to continue as planned, but some details can be altered if needed. We'll make it work.

There isn't a definite date on when this will resume and conclude at the moment, but it will hopefully be before too long. Smaug and I just need to review where things stand at the moment and note what still needs to happen and make sure we're still on track for everything to fall into place in the story. Also I need to try bringing the players that fell away back around. I really don't want to recast the characters mid-production, that would be awkward.

Keep an eye on this thread for details on when things are about to get moving again so you can prepare; I'll let everyone know what's up as soon as I have something to report. In the meantime it is highly recommended to get the most out of participation that any new players wanting to join in when this resumes first read through the original Regis Returns story and then read what has happened so far in this one so you're fresh on everything that's happened. This goes for the current players as well to refresh yourselves on where we stand in the current story, because this is all one narrative with a plot through line that is important for the actors to follow as things play out in the rest of this sequel. Otherwise the scope of the overarching story will only be understood by my cowriter and I, and that's not as fun.
