I just recently saw a book by Laura Frantz and thought it looked interesting, but I haven't read anything by her. I know that Laurie and I like some of the same books, so that's a good recommendation. Thanks, Laurie. I'm going to have to find that book!Laurie wrote:I finished The Colonel's Lady, it was excellent as all of Laura Frantz's books are. Next up for me is The Journey by Wanda Brunstetter. It is the first book in her Kentucky Brothers series/trilogy.

I just finished "Chateau of Echoes" by Siri Mitchell. I've read it a few times before, but it's good enough to read again! I'm also partway through "Mistletoe Courtship" by Janet Tronstad and Sara Mitchell, but it isn't as good as I had hoped.

Catching Fire, the second hunger Games book of the trilogy.
SO stoked for the movie!!! Can't wait!

I'm reading "Dear PenPal" from the "Mother Daughter Book Club" series

I love words. I love to sing them and speak them and even now, I must admit, I have fallen into the joy of writing them.

Yes. Best author ever.Shadowfax wrote:Anyone read any Stephen Lawhead books? Recommend any?
I've read King Raven Trilogy, (it's about Robin Hood) very highly recommend that. I've also read the first two books in the Dragon King Trilogy which I wouldn't really recommend at all, (they're like the first books he wrote, and they're pretty boring, and LOTR rip-off-ish). And I've also read most of the Song of Albion trilogy, and it's not quite as good as the King Raven Trilogy, but still marvelous.

I've been (slowly) reading a mash-up of Boneshaker by Cherie Priest and The Steampunk Bible. I guess I'm in a neo-Victorian mood.

I am reading The Bluebird And The Sparrow by Janette Oke.

I finished The Journey, it was very good. I'm glad that I only have to wait until next month for the second book. Next up for me is The Crossing by Gilbert Morris. It is the first book in his new series The Last Cavaliers.

When God Writes Your Love Story - by Eric and Leslie Ludy. I've read it before, but it's really good to read again...and again

Till the end of the line.

Heaven is For Real. It's about this little boy who supposedly went to Heaven and then came back.
I finished The Crossing by Gilbert Morris. It was excellent. Next up for me is book 2 in the Last Cavaliers series: The Sword.

I just finished "Everfound" by Neal Shusterman.
It was absolutely brilliant. And yesterday I read in a single sitting "Uncommon Criminals" by Ally Carter; another excellent novel. (Haaaaaale.
