I'm glad you know what's wrong now, AE, and can start healing. Strep throat is no fun! :(

Last night I finally mostly set up my new (to me) quilting frame. \:D/ Today I have to put together the roller bars (the things the actual quilt fabric rolls up on) and get my quilt loaded onto it. It's quite the big contraption...I should post a picture.

Later this week, I finally get to go to the eye doctor - my glasses broke back in November, and I've been wearing old ones all this time until my insurance would cover another pair. So now I need a new prescription before they can be ordered, hence the doctor appointment. \:D/

I'm just thankful to know what is causing everything I've gone through. Plus, I have orientation tomorrow morning for my job (finally!), so praise God that I don't have to worry! :D
Yay! AE went to the doctor! \:D/ :P Glad to hear it Mr. Mayor.

I'm excited because I get to go to a High School Confrence this weekend. My church group is going and it oughta be fun. It'll be my first time going so I'm rather pumped. Now I'm just praying that we don't have to go roller skating. Or swimming. I HATE swimming.

You are crazy. ;) Swimming is the best sport ever. It's super fun, relaxing, and it is an important life skill. It isn't an impact sport, doesn't stress your joints, and is great for your heart. Swimming is amazing and I don't see how you have a fair argument for hating it.

I made a fool of myself in history class today! \:D/ Now, just for a bit of backstory, I'm the one with a nearly perfect average score who has never answered a question wrong and will chime in occasionally when several other people have gotten something wrong. Sooo, we just entered the 1800s in my history book, and my teacher was talking about Thomas Jefferson writing his own 'Bible' and publishing it in the US. He went on to mention that there was someone else* who had done this- written a set of rules and established it (though he had put it into force) and wanted to know who.

I must have gotten this really intelligent thinking look on my face, cause he stopped in front of my seat and said, "Miss *insert last name*, I'm waiting with anticipation for your intelligent response," (or something... he talks awesomely. \:D/ ) So I began to stutter, and this is how it went:
"Uhhh... Thomas Jefferson?"
"Noo, he was our guy. Somebody else." And, to the side, "Her cheeks are turning pink!"
"An, um, England.... One of the English kings?"
"Specifically....? *me stutter again here* King Henry the....?"
"Third?"
"EIGHTH!"

That was from someone else, and as I began to laugh at myself the whole room joined in (and by laugh I mean we all snicker quietly. ;) though I did lol after this:) when he grabbed my wrist and proclaimed I still had a pulse... Geez. xD

It was funny. But I made up for it by answering a question that one person got wrong and no one else spoke up. \:D/ Yay.

Haha! Nice, Termite. \:D/

I never answer questions in class. I suppose I'm the student teachers get frustrated with because of my lack of participation. :p

Right now, I'm flopped on the couch with my iPod.. So far, 5/6 of our family has had a stomach bug, and you guessed it... I'm the 1/6 and I'm pretty sure I'm getting it. On the upside of things, I won't have to do school today...

Thanks TKD... right now, my mom and I are the only ones not doing so good... and I don't think this is a long-lasting illness thankfully... I took a nap earlier and I think I'm doing better now.

That's of it all set up, but without my quilt on it yet. :D Today I actually took the sewing machine part off, and I'll be doing the quilting by hand.
AND....last night I looked up the price of that frame - it costs $1,399. :thud: I bought it from a lady on Craigslist for $175, which also included this stitch regulator thingy which costs $500 new. Almost two thousand dollars worth of stuff for less than 10% of that. I can't use the stitch regulator, so I may try to sell it on eBay to offset the cost of the frame.
Very exciting - to me, at least. ;)

Laura, I'm afraid you must've ordered the Hobbit-sized bed. :( Either that or you bought a MASSIVE quilting machine! \:D/

I started training at my job today! It was great. As I walked through the store in my fancy khaki pants and blue uniform shirt, I said to myself, "You know? I actually work here." That was an amazing feeling; one I have never experienced before. My extended life isn't perfect now, but God is good. And I'm getting paid. \:D/

Life is too busy...this is the first time I've been on in like, two weeks. Crazy, I know. It kinda makes me sad :( But aside from busy, life's been pretty good. Babysitting, school, youth groups, friend visits. I went to Connecticut to visit my greatest friend, and attended a all-nighter with her youth group the day before New Year's Eve. I only was about to stay up all night with the help of 1/2 a Five Hour Energy XD and it tasted really disgusting. Needless to say, we didn't stay up on New Year's Eve...

My body aches. Everything seems to be hurting today. For a while my back pain had decreased but it's back and in full force. The pain keeps waking me up at night so now I'm exhausted too ](*,)

On the good news, it's thursday meaning friday will be here soon and then Saturday meaning class will be over until Monday \:D/ And last night's class was actually fun. To a point. We drew an egg that sat on top of a beer botttle. (well, technically mine was a rootbeer bottle :- )

Still sick. :( And I've got something fairly big to go to this weekend that I really need to participate in, but we'll see. On the plus side I'm going to see the doctor today, so hopefully we can get this thing going the right direction towards getting well. The election seems to be going smoothly from my point of view now, the first view days there were some small bumps in the road, but it looks like that's settled down. I'm starting to get a slight case of cabin fever, and it's not even February. *sigh* Oh well, maybe all the business irl and online will distract me. Oh, and if everyone finds out where the last few days went, let me know. I'm trying to figure out where they've escaped to.

If a persons vehicle needed an emissions test don't you think they would send you a notice telling you that before they sent the renewal notice for your license plates? How stupid can the state of Illinois be? Apparently more stupid than I ever imagined. And this is what my hard earned tax dollars go for.
