Will AIO ever..............
Do you think they will be as extreme, or more extreme than they were during the Novacom saga?
Have we seen AIO to it's most extreme?

I think that if Odyssey exists for much longer (which I definitely hope it will), it'll get more extreme. Maybe not really more scary (I mean, it is a kid's show, after all...), but more crazy.

Two major characters died in the Novacom saga... one by a freaky medical experiment.
The audience was led to believe that Mitch burned to death.
There was constant talk of mind control and technobabble galore.
Jason was attracted to a hot girl, even "seduced" by her for a time.
There were many scenes of characters portraying violence, cheating and other unethical behavior.
A company moved into town Literally intent on taking control of the world.
I loved EVERY MINUTE of Novacom, people, but I don't think AIO will ever go that far again. The writers will continue to be creative, and I'll bet there will be a Big Dramatic Storyline (maybe 2008 or something?)
But nothing as extreme as Novacom; it was a 1-time, 30-episode fix. Hopefully they'll do a set sometime with just Novacom episodes, that'd be cool.

Don't know about you guys, but when people storm in a room and yell "freeze" I was led to believe he was shot to death....not burned. Though I was one of a very select number of fans who believed Mitch had been taken into the Witness Protection Program......even before hearing "Strange Boy in a Strange Land".

God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
God, Grant us the peace that comes from honest dealings so that no fear of discovery will haunt our sleep May we inflict no pain, bring no shame, and seek no profit by another's loss.

Yeah, I have no idea where the burned thing came from. The FBI didn't even say what "happened." In the ep though, the real kidnapping, not the death the FBI tried to pass off, it sounded like Mitch was struggling with someone, and was then hit by something, possibly of the blackjack variety, and was forced to succumb.gimp80995 wrote:Don't know about you guys, but when people storm in a room and yell "freeze" I was led to believe he was shot to death....not burned. I never thought of it that way.........I guess since on TV cops yell "freeze" and usually have guns drawn when they do so, I just always assumed that there were guns involved in that scene. But now thinking about it, there did sound like there was a struggle involved.Me wrote:Yeah, I have no idea where the burned thing came from. The FBI didn't even say what "happened." Although it wouldn't surprise me if there were guns present. The way I see it, several people burst through the door with guns, yelling "freeze." Several more people ran in behind them to take Mitch captive. They didn't want to shoot him, so they had to take him along by force. Mitch remains stationary until he is physically attacked, at which time he ignores the guns, and fights for his life. The FBI, however, overcomes him. I think that this might explain both parts of the soundtrack.

AIO is capable, and I believe willing, to go as extreme as Novacom and more. However, as some have suggested, it might not happen for awhile. After all, Eugene has just returned, and that was extreme in its own way. So, I believe we'll have to get settled down for a few seasons before we see another huge, dramatic story arc.
