Dubious Product Warning Labels

Wow, I've seen literally dozens of strange warning labels on so many products. Post any you've seen or read of here:

Vacuum Cleaner:
1. Do not use to pick up gasoline or flammable liquids
2. Do not use to pick up anything that is currently burning.
3. Do not use to unclog toilets.

On a tube of Crest Toothpaste:
If swallowed contact poison control.

On bag of peanuts:
Warning: Contains nuts.

On a Snowblower: Do not use a roof.

On a pack of gum:USe proper chewing techiques.

I've heard of one on an iron: Do not iron on body.

Or something like that.

I have seen a similar one on a jar of peanuts. Warning: processed on equipment that is used to process nuts.

While it's not a warning on a package, there was an ad on tv asking, "Is your phone disconnected? Call today at______ to be recconected." The words aren't exact, but you get the picture.

Yeah, something like the following:

Warning--Never iron clothes on the body.

Definitely good to know. Here are some others I've read . . .

Blow Dryer:
Warning: Do not use while sleeping.

Christmas Lights:
Warning: For indoor or outdoor use only.

In some countries, on the bottom of Coke bottles:
Open other end.

On a clothes dryer and a dishwasher: Do not allow children to play inside while the machine is operational.

Pepper Spray:

Camera:
This camera will only work when film is inside.

Nytol Sleep Aid:
Warning: May cause drowsiness.

Hair Coloring:
Do not use as an ice cream topping.

Yeah, that's bad. I bet someone took a scoop out, shoved it in their mouth, and went into shock, because they didn't know the "ice cream" was going to be cold. What is this world coming to?

EDIT: This is pretty ironic actually, because my pastor was saying some of these in church today. Like the iron one... The message had to do with "risk takers" and "risk mangers" aka... people to take risks and take the blame if it's bad, and people who try and blame stuff on other people, because they took a risk.

EDIT 2: He he, here are a few:

Dog Shampoo:
Caution: The contents of this bottle should not be fed to fish

On a lighter:
Do not use near fire, flame, or sparks

Microwave oven manual:
Do not use for drying pets

Air freshener:

For use by trained personnel only
Keep out of reach of children and teenagers

Boeing 757 (yes, a real plane):
Fragile. Do not drop

Childrens cough medicine:
Do not drive car or operate machinery (I'm not sure which to be more disturbed about... that an adult would be taking childrens cough medicine, or that a child would be driving a car, and operating heavy machinery?

)

I've heard some of those before.

They are just trying to protect themselves from lawsuits on some of those. Could you imagine someone using a blowdryer when sleeping? Probably not. But maybe someone tried it one time.

Energizer AAA 4 Pack:

Air Conditioner:
Caution: Avoid dropping air conditioners out of windows.

On a hotel-provided shower cap in a box:
Fits one head.

On the bag containing a McDonald's Power Rangers toy:
WARNING: This bag is not a toy.

Riight, like kids will think the bag is the toy.

Speaking of frivolous lawsuits:

If I remember correctly this took place in 2003 (and I'm too lazy to look it up). A man was driving down the freeway in his 40-foot Winnebago motorhome. He put it on cruise control and left the wheel to go get a snack. Do I really need to say what happens next? Appearently he took Winnebago to court, won 1.75 Million dollars, and a brand new 40 foot motor home. If that wasn't enough, Winnebago had to change the owner manual to read something like "Do not leave wheel when vehicle is set on cruise control".

Sort of OT, but I bought a Pelican case for some equiptment, and the only thing the warranty doesn't protect it against is bear attack, shark attack, and I quote, "children under 5."

on the outside of a certain airlines jet engines a stick figue with the red circleslash through it. just in case a prson wanted to go into the engine. same airlines bag of peanuts "Produced in a facility that processespeanuts and other nuts." where else would you process peanuts?

Warning signs in the dishes store that certain products may have too much lead in them. If they were so harmful I can't imagine the government would allow them to be sold... so I find the claim a bit dubious.
