BEST MOVIE OF THE DECADE! (2000-2009) [WINNERS IN!]

Post by American Eagle »

Welcome to the Finals of the Best Movie of the Decade Contest! (2000-2009)

Part I: VOTE!
This is the most important part: vote for your favorite movie listed above! \:D/ This poll will run for three days.

Part II: PREDICT!
This is a new way to predict! Here is what you must do: Predict the winning film and how many votes it will receive, similar to this:
The Incredibles - 20 votes
You are allowed to predict the same film as others have, but not the same film and number. The user who is closest to the actual number will be awarded a $25 cash prize!

It's time to vote and predict, and decide the Best Movie of the Decade! \:D/

Here was the previous contest info:
Welcome to the Best Movie of the Decade Contest, 2000s edition!

Part I: Nominate Your Favorites!
PM me your favorite movies from the 2000s (just one, or a top 5/top 10). Some popular 2000s films were the Avatar, The Dark Knight, Shrek, Spider-Man, The Incredibles, Iron Man, Night at the Museum and Madagascar. Of course, we want variety, so try looking through this list of movies to find your favorites. (Note: Please order them in order of your favorite to least favorite). I'm not sure how the polling will go, but we'll see once we get the nominations!

Part II: Predict & Vote!
  1. The poll(s) will run for five days. Vote for your Top 3 favorite 2000s films!
  2. Predict the top 3 winners in this thread. Similar to this:
    1. Avatar
    2. The Incredibles
    3. King Kong
Is there a prize?
Yes! The user who picks the top 3 films correctly will be given a $25 cash prize! Be sure to post your predictions in the correct thread! Also, the user who first nominates the winning film will receive a $25 cash prize! \:D/

What films can I nominate?
Virtually any that you wish! Anti-Christian films (such as The Da Vinci Code), or extremely ungodly films will not be added. In addition, The Lord of the Rings and the Star Wars movies will be excluded, because they are the clear favorite.

Get in those nominations quickly! Let's get this started. \:D/

I'd like to nominate Finding Nemo, please! That movie scared me, since I was little when it came out, but hey, everyone else seems to like it! \:D/

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

Fireproof is a terrible movie when I watched Fireproof I couldn't stop laughing and it's a good movie to watch when I'm sad because it makes me laugh for an hour and a half.

anyways what's with no LotR's or Star wars? it isn't really a movie of the decade contest without them and that's not very nice, excluding the best movie(in my mind LotR is one movie, all 12 hours) and star wars from the contest. also it isn't really saying what is actually is the best. It's also a popularity contest.

The rules say that Star Wars and LoTR would be excluded seeing as those are all time favorites ;) that's why they're not included...and each person has their own taste. Some people love Fireproof, myself included.
