I actually sorta agree with 31899 on this. 
It's almost a popularity contest, whether that's the intent or not. Someone who thinks they're good friends with someone could look through and see that this someone didn't list them on their "coolest person" list, and end up feeling hurt. People can get compared, and elevated over others.
But I definitely don't think that's what's been happening in this thread as of yet... instead I see off-topicness and spam. Which means this thread actually belongs in HH.
