Going with what Eugene said, when WILL the mods be annouced? I'm on pins and needles, and not because my legs have fallen asleep.

We've gotten our full list and everything, so it's just a matter of them responding at this point.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

Will there be any new dolls of the administrators and moderators from the last term?
When will the games start?
We've finally cleared up and finalized the mod list, so I'm guessing it'll be announced today.
We're planning to add dolls of the past few terms, yes.

I was hoping we might start a contest this week, but I can't say for sure. We'll have some stuff for you guys soon.

No, I'm going to BALEET you all.Termite wrote:Pseudo, are you now going to promote the Randoms and bring happiness and Randomicity back to the whole of the ToO?

You can't prove The Office is not going downhill... last couple seasons are okay but not EPIC like earlier ones.

All of the mods have responded except for one person, so that's why it's taking so long.
We'll probably have to take him/her off the list... but the list is coming. SERIOUSLY GUYS IT'S COMING.

Because then the list would be leaked and people would be crying and whining in the streets about not being chosen a mod... and we already have enough complaining before elections - we don't need more.31899 wrote:Why didn't you send your possible mod pm's before the election?

Sending mod PMs before the actual poll is generally not a good idea, as it could effect votes and such.

Now, picking mods (not actually telling them, mind you) before the election is a good idea... less wait time, and probably a whole lot of other good side effects. I've never heard of sending mod PM's before... lol. Yeah, not a good idea, I concur.
I would say that if someone wasn't answering in a three day span, write them off the list... Why make them mod when they aren't going to be around to do it?
How did you choose the mods? Without giving away names, naturally.

Yeah, it's generally not a good idea, even if a team has good intentions, because it can be perceived as trying to buy the potential mod's vote.
Apart from that, maturity and previous mod experience (or lack thereof) are taken into consideration, as well as how much they contributed to racecar's campaign! activity, reputation, and other great qualifications!

It could be that they're just not around the first few days after the election, as in the case of the anonymous person not responding right now. But yeah, we can't make everyone wait just for one person, so we will have to take him/her off the list.Danielle Abigail Maxwell wrote:I would say that if someone wasn't answering in a three day span, write them off the list... Through a very tedious and difficult process that involves names, pieces of paper, and a hat.Danielle Abigail Maxwell wrote:How did you choose the mods? Without giving away names, naturally.

I do try to use it as much as possible in a responsible and mature manner.

Truly, though, 'how much you contributed to racecar's campaign' is the metric by which maturity should be measured.
