I just saw Up in 3D this evening. For the record, it was not "better" in 3D than in 2D - and until the technology improves, I probably won't be spending the extra $5 to see another movie in 3D.
Two things in particular jumped out at me during the second viewing - the first of which was the symbolism in Charles Muntz' blimp, the Spirit of Adventure. I found it quite fitting that Carl returned back to his hometown in the Spirit of Adventure. Also, I realized that his house represented his past. The way he kept clinging onto the broken-down building was reflective of the way he was holding onto the past. Carl thought he and his wife had missed out on the adventure - until he saw the collection of photographs Ellie had added to the last half of her scrapbook. Once he recognized he had been living the adventure, he was finally able to let go of his past and his house.

I did see this movie last night. It was quite incredible. As always, Pixar proves that they are awesome. I really did fall in love with the characters, especially Carl. This is probably Pixar's most emotional movie so far. The montage at the beginning with Carl and Ellie growing up together was beautiful.

Just saw this film for the first time yesterday. Very well done, though not as much humor as one might expect in a "kids' movie." The squirrel line was quite funny but I don't think I even saw a squirrel in the movie.
Since I was forewarned, I heard Jess Harnell's voice and he was definitely "the white dude."

This is one of like 6 movies I've seen in theaters all of my life. Before going to see it with my brother and sister, I knew virtually everything about it. It was a great movie, but knowing everything about it something spoiled a lot of it for me.

The mailman bit was the funniest part of the movie.I saw it friday...it wasn't as good as I expected it to be...(I guess i'm not much for the emotional pixar movies....definitely not a good as Toy Story or Ratatouille...) but it was good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well, let's see. Most Pixar villians' demises are rather anti-climactic:
Sid gets psychologically scarred by talking toys, Hopper gets eaten by a bird, Al of Al's Toy Barn loses out on his business deal, Randall gets mistaken for an alligator, P. Sherman of 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney loses a fish, Syndrome gets killed by his cape (ironically), Chick loses a race, Skinner gets shown up by culinary rats, and Auto gets turned off.
I'd say falling off a blimp is actually one of the more epic fails when it comes to Pixar movies.

KING BUTTER TURTLE IS MY TWIN!
Pixar has definitely been upping the emotion in their movies lately. Wall-E had me choking back tears near the end, and Up flat out made me cry in at least two spots. I can't wait to add this movie to my Blu-ray collection this fall (alongside A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille and Wall-E).
