Do You Know Anyone Famous?

or a relative of a famous person

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I certainly hope your husband knows about this very scandalous-looking picture, young lady. :noway: (And you don't look that different, even if it is an old picture.)

I think that "know" and "famous" being used differently by different people. ;) I would say no, I don't know anybody famous. :(

Here's a good example of the varying definitions of "famous." ;) I shall take your kind remark as a compliment, while disagreeing a bit that this qualifies as fame. :-k

My family, and a friend of mine, have close ties with some WWE wrestlers.

I've met the Hardy Boys, Shannon Moore, Kane, Undertaker and Chris Jericho. Also Hulk Hogan and my uncle are buddies.

Define 'distant' :-k. If you were to call her up, would she accept your call, and would she know you by name \:D/?

I went to school with Sean Considine, current safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars and former safety for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The question in this thread isn't have you ever been near a famous person before. :anxious: It's asking if you know a famous person. Most of the responses in this thread don't apply.

Hmmm... :-k

Are you sure it was really John Williams you chatted with? Because I've seen like, a million girls claiming to be Hannah Montana online. :anxious:

I know Brandon Heath. Met him once when he came for 4th of July in Walla Walla, WA. I got him to sign my CD of his. It was exciting! That was like two years ago today... and I've missed him twice in concert... But, I know him in that sense!

I don't really know any one else... My friend Shay knows Amy Grant and a few other famous people I forget the names of. Other than that, famous just doesn't connect with my world....

To attempt to be on topic--my parents-in-law are really good friends with Jeremy Camp's parents.

As opposed to them just shaking someone's hand once or getting an autograph. \:D/

I've had a whole conversation with Aaron Shust, but I don't know if that counts as "knowing" someone.

At one point a popular rumor around here claimed that the man who invented the bar code went to my church. Also, the townsfolk in Ohio got the idea that Mel Gibson's kids went to my college there.

Neither of these are true. ;)

:-k

My mom inserted an IV into Johnny Cash! And Chuck Norris was in the same building as her (Loma Linda University Hospital. Apparently Chuck's step dad was/is some sort of doctor, I think a surgeon) Oh and my great grandpa discovered a new species of wheat. I've also met Taylor Mason and Thor Ramsey (anyone seen Bananas?) and I got their autographs. That is probably about it.
Trust me, I'm a doctor
