I'm hoping that we'll see more of the older characters come back (*Cough* Richard *Cough* Maxwell) I really enjoyed that episode where Lucy and all the guys returned. But I have no solid speculations about what might occur
unfortunately.
Odyssey and illusion? Psh, wouldn't that be trippy...

Honestly, I have no idea! I can't even imagine what would be better than the imagination station! Hmm...

Here are my speculations:
There will be a Bible story
There will be morals and lessons
A new kid will experience an old problem and learn a timeless lesson in a new way.

But will he be treated in a different fashion? We know the character will have a different voice. But will we hear about a different era of Odyssey history or Whit's history? We can't jump into the future with any certainty and reliability, so the only plausible deviance from contemporary times in the show would be toward the past. Will Connie and Eugene be around? Will the new show be when Whit is eight years old?Laurie wrote:I don't think this is speculation, from what's been said here:
There is a new Whit.

Because there couldn't be more than one person who could do the voice of Whit... oh... wait.George Poindexter wrote:I would seriously have Whit be dead than have a new voice, but that may change.![]()
*prepares be'ed*

They did a great job for 2 years or whatever it was after Hal Smith died without Whit, but he's still the heart and the soul of the program, there really has to be a Whit of some kind.
Over the weekend I listened to a bunch of older Hal Smith episodes... wow, I forgot how good he was in that role. Paul Herlinger has done a very admirable job of taking up the mustache of Whit, but I can't get over the warmth and depth that went into Hal's portrayal. Again, Paul Herlinger did a very good job, but it just didn't have the same feel of Hal's.
But anyway, I think they are going to go ahead with the ideas I sent them and remake the program in my image.
