All Hail Our New President!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Okay, I've heard about the whole 'Obama is the Anti-Christ' thing.

I'm vaguely recalling from the Left Behind Kids series, but isn't the Anti-Christ to be of Roman blood?

I don't know exactly what Obama is racially, but I'm not convinced that he's the Anti-Christ. :noway:

Well I was just planning on all of the ToO people, as well as maybe the AIO staff. And since we're slumping a bit here, housing shouldn't be too outrageously priced. I was just trying to tempt you with the mall. O:)

Double post went away.

I recall hearing numerous people saying they were going to move out of the country upon the election of Bush. \:D/ I've never understood that sentiment, though... I'd prefer to stay in the greatest country in the world, no matter who is president.

Okay, guys, calm down. I know many of us (including myself) would rather have seen McCain elected, but Obama is now our PRESIDENT. That means he's part of the government, and the Bible tells us to respect to government. (Note: I did not say AGREE with them, I said RESPECT them.)

I'm sure that, during his time as President, Mr. Obama will have to do something good.

And, if all else fails, just tell yourself, "Just four more years until next election!" \:D/

Yayyyyyy! Way to go American people! You've elected a muslim hugging, gay marriage loving, baby killing, nearly socialist man with zero experience and an incompetent man as his partner to run your nation! And what, may I ask, was the reason you elected him? Oh, that's right- because he's an African American man! What a great reason to elect someone into office- everyone knows that the color of your skin makes you or breaks you and qualifies you to run a nation.

No offense intended to any of the African Americans here on this board, however it is true that 95% of all of the African American population voted for Barack. I've been watching the news for the greater part of the night, and in multiple interviews with African American voters, the voters simply said it was a momentous day.... because he is the first black president. What an awesome reason folks. Let's party! *breaks open keg of beer* And while we're at it, let's go kill some babies and throw out our concealed weapons, too .

He's not muslim loving. Not neccessarily gay loving how you put it Jesus said for us to love people for that and not let there sins affect us.

People did not vote for Obama because he is Black they voted for him simply because he has the better plan! So many people would not have voted for him if he had played the "race card".

No he is not socilaist and Joe Biden is FAR from incompetent.

All in all I think what you have said is blatantly rude, intolerant, and inconsiderate, you have not EVEN CONSIDERED that the AMerican people voted for this Senator becasue he has the better plan and can get things done.

Obviously, if you can twist someone's name into a rhyme for "abomination", they're totally evil. \:D/

I'm not ignoring it, I'm just telling you that Obama is NOT our current president.

I am quite aware of that. George W. Bush is still our president NOW, however.

While I'm sure there are people out there who voted for him because they believe he has the better plan, you can't say that there weren't people who voted for him because of his skin color. I've talked to people with whom that's the case.

Duh. Most people here know quite a bit about politics, so your posting such an obvious thing comes across as gloating. Nice.

As has been predicted for a while, no matter who would win the election, the country would be full of contention because of it. And I doubt it'll die down by the innauguration...

So you lost your trust,
And you never should have.
No, you never should have.
But don't break your back
If you ever see this,
But don't answer that.
In a bullet proof vest
With the windows all closed,
I'll be doing my best
I'll see you soon.

I am not stereotyping that everyone thinks that Obama is the anti christ because they voted against him

It's just that some people make it SOUND like he's th anti christ, talking about the Rapture and it's "America's Darkest Hour". I was just making a point.

Well I won't call it America's darkest hour, but I will say that there's nothing wrong with hoping for the rapture to happen. I've been wanting it to happen for years. I want it to happen even more now...no matter who's in office.

And, yes, the world is getting more and more corrupt with each passing day.

I really can't imagine how someone could, this early on--well, if you're going by his campaign promises alone I could imagine it.
But if you look at his past voting track record, a large amount of the time he didn't actually vote in any meaningful way; he was recorded as present, but without opinion. So pretty much the only way you can judge what he plans to do is through campaign promises, and those aren't exactly the most reliable things in the world.

I hope you were speaking loftily when you said that the presidential campaign is utter nonsense. The United States was founded for a representative government. The choice for whom to vote is important. That ability to cast your vote is what makes the United States stand out from all the countries in history.
